Hmm that is an interesting suggestion. Maybe someone should actually make that.

 

Would it be possible to only announce the type of arena it is at the start? This would mean that you still receive the money for them being in the game, but that the players also wasted a ton of time waiting for the game to start (I know if this happened I would just play for the lolz).

An argument against this would be that you cant chose your kit while waiting for the game to start. While this may be a problem, it is not particularly hard to type /kit whatever. (You can select a kit in the middle of a game after all)

 

This would be incredible. Maybe make the cool down 1 hour instead of a full 24? Not sure, but I have to say, I would really love it if you made this an official suggestion.

 

I would be extremely happy if this is implemented.

Now, kit users will join the game, figure out that thy can't use there kits, and leave to go to another lobby.

 

I think this Would Help ECC, then all the people who would like to stay in 0 kit arenas Will, while all the people who mind Might and go off to a different arena. And it only happens 1/8 of the time, so what!?

EDIT: On a serious note, 5k is really a lot. I am in agreement with a possible point deduction of sorts, but not an excessive extent. I am in agreement with @Chundi_Jr after reading her posts, as well as the posts after.

 

Listen dude, you need to give some reasoning, not just some half made answer all in caps. This is not the best way to push your thoughts out into the world.

 

Now that this new 5000 point dock system is being implemented my opinion on this topic has completely changed. Although I love the idea of having a chance of a no kit game and this new point docking system will help people from purposely leaving the game, there are many factors we have to realize.
What if we have to go do something irl? I know Andrews response to this was just "don't play sg" so lets move on to the next factor, the factor thats going to affect everyone the most.
Server restarts? Timing out? These factors are completely out of our control and I feel this docking system will be punishing us for something we can't control.
These are just my thoughts on the new system and I'd love to hear everyone else's view on this.

 

Now I am in TOTAL agreement on this. It gives both kitters and non-kitters a fair share of the cake... but one thing is wrong.

How will we give this information to the new players? Will we slowly let those who just joined go into a game that has no kits out of pure chance then go into another game with kits? How confusing would this be! There should be some sort of sign somewhere explaining the mechanics of kits and the 1/8th rule (preferably near the SG area!) Great idea Revan!

 

How much do stats mean to everyone? In competitions they get reset (take the SG World Cup) and you do not earn any money off them. The only reason people have bought kits, correct me if I am wrong, is to combat other kitters or to earn more money in ECC.

 

I wholeheartedly agree with these sentiments. What if you crash? What if the server crashes? Kicked for flying?
I really like the idea that you only get deducted points from the first 1 minute of gameplay after grace period ends, as suggested by @TheHolyStick22.

Ok, I would like some things to be taken into consideration with the point docking system.
I completely agree with Chundi, there are external factors that have to be dealt with that we cannot control.
Being kicked for flying is a common occurrence that no one can control. 5000 points every time this happens is a bit much. I would suggest lowering to 1000 points or altering the idea a little.
The first person to leave is the one docked/People that leave within the first 2 minutes of the game starting are docked

I am also curious if this will take affect in kit games aswell.
