--Chapter 1: Boredom, a la Noob--
I was getting bored of another economy server, where I had done tons of cool stuff. I had 5 plots in plot world, a housing business, and about $20k. So, on a quest to find another cool economy server, I came across EcoCityCraft.
It was about September 2012, just for reference.
Anyways, I got online and found a room full of obsidian portals. I went in a few towns, and was amazed at the buildings. I told myself that I would do nothing except look at the towns.
One month later, I settled down in the wild. I had chopped down a nice sized part of a forest, and made a hut with a mine and a small farm inside (without water), and planned to make a big farm by a nearby lake. I logged off for about a month, and when I came back I was furious. Someone had destroyed my mine and turned my half-built farm into a hotel! In a rage, I griefed it to the ground and realized that you COULD grief in the wild.
--Chapter 2: Getting Somewhere--
It was November 2012. I had read the rules and tutorial, and had a game plan. I quickly made my way to the wild with $0 in my pocket, and made a horribly tiny base under a river, with a trapdoor leading up. I wanted to extend it to bedrock, so I made a 20 block long pillar. I put ladders up and down it for easy access, and started mining. Eventually, I had about $2000 from mining and such, and realized I could have been farming my way up much quicker. I made a water-less melon farm at the end of the pillar (the mine was at the halfway mark), but it WOULD NOT GROW!!! I wanted to know why they wouldn't grow, and I was told to try wheat if I didn't have water placement. So I did, but I kept the melon farm just in case ;). Later, (late November) I responded to an ad for a Builder Hotel, courtesy of rainbowmaster12, and used that to get my main source of income, mining, heating up cobble and selling the stone. At early December, I bought a plot in Hiketon and planned a giganitc hotel. I poured 1k into the first floor, and then Hiketon got reset. :mad:. With no money left, I got rid of my hotel room and poured my self into getting money to start a hotel chain. It actually went well. I bought 5 different plots, and forgot about them ALL.
--Chapter 3: Thank Alsvid--
I donated for water and tp's soon after, and had enough to buy a 10x10 plot in LizardBay. I made a 2-story wooden hotel with some storage for me. This got me about 8k, and I used it to but two 20x20's in West LizardBay, which became a private wheat farm and the Lucky Llama Casino. I made tons off that casino, and my base got bigger and bigger, with two mines and a small cocoa bean farm added. And then I tried trading fish for diamond, when fish were still $50. I never found out it was a scam, and I could get $20 more by selling the fish. As soon as I found that out, fish prices were nerfed. :mad: I only had 2k and my hotel, farm, and casino. My net worth: 5k. D'oh. But then, a light from the heavens! Alsvid wanted someone to donate for him. He'd pay 125k. I ended up with the job, and it got me Resident and Mayor one after the other. The rest of the money I'd use for town materials. STUPID ME. Buying dirt from spawn shop, I could only afford 1 level in my new town, Las Sendas. I had great plans for that town. I still do.
--Chapter 4: The Present Day--
I invited my mom and brother on the server soon after the dirt was placed in Las Sendas. Soon, I had some cobblestone walls up where the Model Center and Models 1 and 2 are now. A tree farm was where the Model Center is now, and I built up Model 1 and started planning for 6 instead of my original 4-8. With my mom mining and my brother placing stone bricks, we got the town ready relatively fast, by early April 2013. I started decorating the Model Center a week later, after extensive planning, and I am still working on it today.

Digging dirt for 2 hours and them being hired by Hadesjr3 and making lots of money of course i was new so i had 15,000 but i was stupid and spent it on tools and armor. But now im making my way on my own. Im livin the dream i have a shop and i have a pumpkin axe i started playing about 3 to 4 moths ago how about you. I just got resident 4 days ago! So excited! :)

 

I got so lucky and ended up with a job right off the bat for 3k, bought a small apartment then moved into my town that im still in

 

My Story

Part One

I joined the server expecting to staya builder for a long time. After voting I bought a plot from dface in windshear. The next day after I voted I bought one lotto ticket and won 10k. The next lotto I one ticketed 20k. 2 lottos later I 1 ticketed 49k(sry nelsin.) I became resident bought a modern mansion for 10k and perms to 2 farms and now I'm here.

 

I remember for a while just going in and out of houses looking for valuables. That was about a year ago though.

 

I lived underground under the ocean. :/

 

My story is really lame lol but here goes :
How I found ECC : (about a few months ago )
I had been scouring the Internet for a great minecraft server . I tried so many servers but most of them were not even close to good enough . Many were dedicated PvP severs which I abhor. I tried all the servers though creative,vanilla survival,skyblock,hg,infected, prison and like a lot of others.Eventually I realized that I wanted an economy server. I saw ECC on the minecraft forum but was discouraged at first when I saw "hardcore". Eventually I was so tired of other servers that I was getting worried I would never find one . Then I remembered ECC . I got on the server and was hooked the moment I started . I went straight to the server features section(the emerald portal) and , as I started reading all of them I was getting more and more excited about playing on ECC . I was delighted to find that you could use a command like / sell hand and not have to go a far distance to find a shop (unlike many other servers). I hopped into the mining world and got mining . I mined for some time then realized my inventory was full , of items I wanted to keep . So I then asked around in global chat and found out that I could buy a plot . So I bought my first plot for 1k it was a 10x10 and there was a two floor high height limit . Also you couldn't dig the floor up . Through mining I was able to get myself a second plot in the same town , a 20x20 (for I think like 3k). I then built a nether wart farm on my second plot and gained a little money from that and mining . I decided I did not like the town because of the height limit so I cleared my plots and was partially refunded for them . I then begun the search for a new , bigger house and the first offer I got was for a plot in a town called firewood . A player named miniclh showed me around and when I said I wanted a "big" plot they said I could have a 40x40 for 3k ! This was like a dream come true at the time and when they said no height limit or dig limit I was so happy . I then put down my chests and transferred my items over from the previous town . I then began building a fairly massive mansion and was a few days into construction . Then I logged on one day and I couldn't place blocks or destroy them at all. I panicked . Apparently the town I had purchased a plot in had been stolen . I frantically asked in global chat for help because I had been evicted without any notice for no reason . I then got a pm from trevalynfar who was looking to help me out . He helped me keep my old house and have me a free 25x25 in his town ! I was so happy . I then built a 30floor apartment building (it's not done yet will be 40 floors) on my newly gotten plot and did some mining with my little brother to amass 15 k ( to me at the time 15k was like a ton of money ) and bought the rank of resident .

Well uh, the plane landed and when I came out
There was a dude who looked like a cop standing there with my name out
I ain't trying to get arrested yet.

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I can say is that this cab was rare
But I thought 'Man forget it' - 'Yo homes to Bel-Air'

I pulled up to the house about seven or eight
And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later'
I looked to my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air

I bought a 10x10 plot from thehockeykids2 as a builder, that's where I started my life! :D

I lived underground.... then someone griefed me and stole pretty much everything. I was super mad, but the next day I found his house and had some fun :3 Then I went a town and there was a sign with all the prices and I was like "The rent is too damn high!" So I decided to make a rectangular cobble house right next to it, but it never got griefed surprisingly. I had also built an underground farm and had a water source from the ocean right next to my house flow in, I didn't know other could place water >.< Anyway, mined / farmed to 5k, ragequited and bought 10k in ecodollars. Then resident!

When i joined, I learned that you can vote for n stars and exchange them for money. Back then, n stars were $300 each. So on the very first day, I owned a plot in a town called Farengar. It was terrible, I was the only one living in that town lol. I worked alot for other guys, earned tons of cash. On my 4th day, I finally applied for resident. And thats where the ECC addiction started. :D

 

hmm when I joined the server I went mining and got Money and food from voting, had builder in 1 day, then resident after a week. My first home was in Lizardbay, one of the earlier residents there.

 

My journey
I joined the sever and was like most beginners hitting the grounded and running around for 10 minutes or so.then i found the mining gate were i head out and build a small underground dirt house were i live 2 day. during this time i had enough to buy an 10x10 plot in a amazing small town. after mining some more i had 4k and bought perms to an farm which hand no gate so i never left the farm till i had 15k. after spending all my money i had on resident i was broke and couldn't find the farm which i had perms to so i set out to mining again and got around 10k and spent it all on a plot and some supply for my house. after build and nice 20x20 house made out of wool and brick. i just bought perms to a huge farm called sky farms and that my story so far.
