Well, my story starts a little before ECC, in a far away land where contentment was not found... My son started playing this weird game called Minecraft. I figured I would try it, just to see what he was doing. Within a week, I also made an account and eagerly awaited the actual release of the game (bought a Beta-account) Joined a server with many great people, gradually aqcuired a reputation, then made the mistake of making a Moderator application. Some things are best left unseen. After 3 months of putting up with a complete lack of ethics from the Admins, I decided I no longer wanted to be part of the Staff. I retired from Mod, and started looking for a different server that had Staff that behaved with maturity. One of the other Mods on that server suggested I try ECC... March 2012, I created an account on the forums. I read EVERY page accessible from the website (wiki, Live Map, etc.) and found plenty of evidence that this was a good server with a great infrastructure. So, like many before me, I ventured into the wild. I went thru a buildportal and traveled for at least one day cycle out into the Wilds. Found a stream, swam to the bottom, and dug a doorway. covered the doorway back up and got to work. Since I had no donations at the time, I made a gravity feed pumpkin farm (every 7 blocks another step down) undreground, then discovered that it was safer to harvest pumpkins and remove the stems at the end of each session. Griefers are vicious Finally made the 15k required for Resident and started looking for my first Mayor. @Crossfire26 sold me my first plot, then I started building my first non-griefable farm. It was a thing of beauty and form. I bought 12 water placements and I fed an 11x40 (i think it was 40) farm all the way to bedrock. Put a tree farm on the bottom, pumpkins the other 12 levels. Farmed there with my wife long enough to earn her Resident and me Mayor. The I started looking for new land... I saw some amazing building techniques all over the map...and quite a bit of junk too. I could not understand why someone would make a town from Extreme Hills...then get it completely flattened. Why not just build on the ocean? I think I may have been one of the first 5 to claim a new town in the expanded map borders. Extreme Hills Dropped a few chests for storage, planted a tree farm, then started the Wall. Yes, it took a while to cook all the cobble back to stone, but the only cobble in the Wall is the foundation under water, Made a rail cart track with stations all the way around the inside of the wall (the Yensid Tour Train), tried some reed farming, dug to bedrock and made a 40 x 200 underground multi-level farm...then pumpkin prices were nerfed I read about redstone lamp autoharvesting Wheat farming, so gave it a try. Works great! 14 levels, 1 chunk, 8k per cycle (top to bottom) My wife decided she really didn't enjoy playing as much as we hoped, so the saved money for her town went toward my second one, Aqua Yensid. 200x200 of water. The town is completely underwater, glass domes, tunnels, even a ravine that I built 4 levels of balcony into. And it's all set to open for plot buying as soon as I get the last 5k for the portal. No Lottery, no PVP, no scamming. Just build and help others. Long enough?
Mine's really lame, I started out last year, I was the 627th person on the server. I was in the wild and I didn't lock my chest, I hid it under dirt, I lost it. XD I got a apartment in Las-Vegas, and After mining for two months, I had enough money for res(I would always blow my money on the Lottery) I have always been a Lame-sauce n00b. I decided to leave the server, so I gave 12k to LoLo16(Know known as Starleana) But I couldn't stay away so now I'm back, I like to help out people how ever I can.
I never really experienced the wild... I joined the server because of several friends that were already here, though I did still have a bit of an initial adventure, given that their town didn't have a portal at the time. t3hher0 lead be through a build portal, tossed me a boat and pretty much said 'here, follow me', and so began the great and epic journey to Awesometopia by sea, and I never left. Yes, I have two towns of my own now, co-mayor others, and have homes and shops in yet more towns, but Awesome will always be my first home.
Well I have a long drive back to my unpowered house. Guess ill write my sorry oh my phone, here it goes. It all started about 10 months ago, when I has just started playing minecraft. My brother (cksoccer) had introduced me to the game, an I was instantly hooked to it. We played single player for a while, but we soon got bored. So we looked through many servers, and tried many of them. We love PvP now, but when we started on 100% griefing servers, we were extremely disappointed when our wood and cobble huts were destroyed and our chests looted. So we went off to find a nicer server, and that's when we found ECC. Part 1: Like most players, we ran into the wild together ready to start our adventure. With brio and excitement we wanted to make a town! Through annoying many players and staff members, we soon figured out how this server worked. So for a couple weeks, we lived in peace in the wild, mining to our heart's content. We knew nothing about farming of course. So, our goal was to make him a resident, so we would live in his spawn shop. We were about halfway to our goal, when we came back online one day to find our entire village griefed. We were devastated, but we didn't give up. We learned about protected towns, and again annoyed very many players until Kecks07 finally sold us a plot. We lived there in peace for a while, mined and mined and mined. We could never seem to fetch that elusive 15,000. So we quit ECC for a while. Part 2: We played on various other servers and had fun (even head admins on one ^_^). But we wanted that fun that we had when we started minecraft. So we decided to come back to ECC. I soon learned about donating, and promptly donated for ext commands, multi home, tp, and water for me and my brother. Also, we bought like 100k in Ecodollars. Our plan was to be the most successful builders on the server. That plan failed... Part 3: So together we had about 120k, so I got mayor and he got resident. Our builder plan failed... ohh I also got banned a couple times in there as well
It was a bright and shiny new day when I had first joined ECC. There were many people, and I was afraid of them. Afraid of the power that they may hold. Careful to not step out of line an embarrass myself, I politely asked a mod (Think it was Mustacher or Videowiz, not quite sure) what a builder like myself could do to get started? He told me to do kit starter, and gave me a few friendly words of advice. I was also given a few not so friendly words from a certain Banned Tycoon (GET OWNED) Who I will be discussing later in the story. So exited as could be, I jumped into a build gate to make my living. Well, that was a bad idea, as I died multiple times, losing everything. Then i discovered the town gates. I flew into the one that seemed the most interesting (Mansion) and went to work. By now I had learned of LWC and permission to go everywhere. So I attempted to live in a town with some stangers. Needless to say, I did not have that great of a time there. There was a run in with this one crazy broad who wanted me to be her ECC boyfriend and I was like hey girl relax its just a game. So she tried to frame grief on me! From there, I decided it was best to take my leave from that town. So from there I set out into the wild to make my new home... again. I found a nice flat land and made a house, had a tiny pumpkin farm, and started getting better. I added two friends to my town, both whose names escape me. But we shall call them Angel and Emax. First I invited Emax. Then Angel came along, and we had ourselves a fine little village going on. I had just learned about a placing water through the use of donations, and so I sent out a Global chat to ask for someone who could find me and place water. This was undoubtedly the biggest mistake of my time on ECC. And guess who answered my call? The one and only, Purgguin. Right before I was about to pay him he asked if I was in the wild. Being an honest person I told him yes. Around this time Angel came back from a view of the rules, to inform us that Purgguin could destroy everything and there was nothing we could to stop him. And destroy he did. He was accompanied by another user with fly and they leveled my houses, and ruining everything I had worked for. Well, I yelled for a mod, and was told the news that there was nothing I could do, and well. I was pissed! I proceeded to shout the worst things that came to my mind. And was banned from the server... Well, after a long and confusing time trying to figure out how to make an account on this website, I finally was able to post a Ban Appeal. And was let back on this great server. From this lesson I learned, NEVER go into the wild. Well then I realized that no one likes builders. So my next goal was resident. And what other way to make resident? Vote for two weeks straight. Two weeks passed and resident was mine. So I somehow came in contact with a girl called Daredevil0592. We became great friends, and she even offered me a plot in the town she was in. It was there that I met cormicanc, and 0oalano0, and kghhansen132. My best ECC friends. They were kind, they treated me like one of their own, and I felt at home. Until I wasn't. After a long 2week vacation from ECC, the first thing I did when I got into my house was open my laptop and log on. (By now I was a resident of maybe 3 weeks.) But I did not see happiness. Only Horror. Everyone's house's were gone. Permissions removed. The only other person left in town was the original leader: limsy365. Upon further investigation on the server, this had been done right after I left! There was no warning to any of the people living in the town, and certainly no refund for the plots sold. And upon this condition was the only reason limsy365 was un-banned, if he refunded our plots. WHICH HE DID NOT. No one got their money back. And limsy365 was off without a scratch. I attempted to talk to him in game for my refund, but did not receive an answer, and after multiple attempts at conversation, he told me to "Stop complaining and grow up." Before I could retaliate and get myself banned again, I was interrupted with a PM from my friend, kghhansen132. He had just received a town along with his mayor status, and was giving every removed member a plot there. Well, I dropped the idea of getting a refund, and tried to move on. Occasionally the thought of my old town haunts me, but I push it to the back of my mind and must move on. But recently, I have had this thought. I have to thank limsy365 for what he did. If he hadn't I wouldn't live where I do now. And have the great friends that I do now. So thanks. For everything. I spent the remainder of my time as a resident living in the town I mentioned before, making an amazing 30x30x9 wheat farm that still stands to this day. The money I got from this was what let me get mayor, and I made my town right next to the one I lived in. But there was a problem, my other two co-mayors 0oalano0 and cormicanc were tried of the "rules" he had, and moved out when they both got mayor around the same time I did. Cormicanc is fairly inactive, but thankfully 0oalano0 is still here. Jakeyray18 lived in the town with us, but this was way before his days as a supermod. So I was left alone. DareDevil0592, who got me started, is inactive s of 3 months now. </3 Kghhansen123 is finally getting back on again, after a month with a broken computer. So it's just us three. But we all don't talk much, and seem to have gone our separate ways. Around then I met WhiteStarX0312 and vengfulbacon. We now are great friends and I an honestly say my ECC life right now is so much better then it was when I first started. I have helped many people move their way through the ranks, all with the hope that they will all have a better start then I did.

I lived with oYsTeR140 in his town for free. Then I wanted to farm so I joined Netherville and then became a resident shortly thereafter. Crazy story, huh?
I started my life in the humble little town of Asgard. I was taken in by the mayor, Horus22. He trained me, and taught me everything I know about Ecc.
I started living in a surface ravine but I covered the hole so it's like there's nothing,the only way in is a small wooden shack with a ladder leading to the secret ravine,but one day,I went outside and I saw someone grief the shack(which is in the wild),he/she saw me and placed the block he griefed back to the shack and left running away.After that I realized that the wild isn't safe.So I abandoned the ravine and I kept searching for jobs to do,sometimes I would go to the wild and find a pond and fish.At the end,I got enough money to become a resident and I joined a town. i started my ECC life i a town called Nottingham with a 10x10 plot. I built a lot of things for the mayors and i built my beautiful house. and now, as a resident i am comayor with a 25x25 mansion.
Thats cool, white19angel lived in my town Brighton pretty avidly, you didn't live in Brighton though, did you?
