I hate the sheer negativity toward debating you have going here. Not everyone is a total you-know-what when debating. Besides, this channel is leave-able and join-able! If you find other people's views offending you somehow, then just leave the channel! It has no use to you anyways!

I would also like to point out that debates aren't always political. You guys need to nail that into your brains. Look up debate.

 

You're just picking an argument for the sake of picking an argument now. I know that you know a way around this which doesn't cost you 300k because you asked me about it earlier.

 

I would like to remind you, and all the naysayers, that this channel IS join-able/leave-able. It gives no advantage to be in there at all! If you do not like what you are seeing, then leave!

What if this channel could be applied for? Sort of like teamspeak? I know this is plausible because it would work like Donator chat.

There would be a set of rules that you would have to follow in order to join the channel also.

 

You would only have to pay 125k if you bought someone mayor. And it's not so you can "talk" it's so you can debate. If you just wanna chat join global.

You are welcome to create a town chat channel and do it that way,
You could then have your own town application topic and add and remove people at your free will, you would be in charge of the channel,
People can apply or come and go as they please,
So this doesnt need a change to the current channel as all this can be set up by yourselves easily.

 

Why is this an ECC problem... If you want to have a discussion with something that is against the rules. Or better yet, something that can be legal but you don't want to pay money to do it, take it to skype, or an IRC channel or something.

This thread is doing my head in with people arguing over a chat channel? Like seriously, I think we need to grow up... Severely

 

Maybe some people (myself) don't have access to those. People should be able to talk about politics in a separate channel provided for by the server.

 

The definition of debating and the definition of arguing are very similar.:pompus: Most of the time in a debate and after, both parties will be hostile. Also, debates are usually about politics, which we do not allow.
Most of these debated would evolve into flame wars. Period.

Well, there is "Senate", and"Legislative assembly" which refer to politics :p

I 100% agree with you - there are literally millions of social media places to do this and there will be so many others that love to debate there as well. Or, as has been suggested many times - create a town and a chat channel.

I have a hard time believing that there is anyone here that has no access to any social site If you are allowed to be here, you can be there as well.
