I can't believe someone actually cares about ratings. This is quite the awakening for me.

 

"Someone"? I really don't want to say what I've been saying nearly the whole thread. Please read the thread first.

 

Perhaps those particular words were not the best way to get my thoughts across. I simply do not think trophy points/ratings are a big deal, if some users would like to pay others to rate them I am honestly not very concerned. There are too many ways ratings can be abused. In the eyes of the community, I believed people are judged not because of how many ratings they have, but because of how they act. Someone like this looks like an idiot, despite the fact that person has a lot of ratings. I still would view them as such. Frankly, if someone will pay me to like their post, I will take the money and run. However, someone cannot pay me to change how I think of someone.

 

Citing the example you've given, you're proving the point you're trying to argue against. The point of the suggestion is so we as a community can allow ratings to remain a bit... sacred, if you will. We want ratings to be not bought, but earned, and such to be done on a platform where they do accurately represent someone.

 

You hate on asking for rates on a suggestion, then you get tons of rates! *clap clap* Good job :p!

Is it possible to delete threads? And if so, do the ratings on that thread still count?

 

I know, I know, I just said that this is a thread where you hate people giving rates to threads who ask for them, and you get tons of rate for hating on rates!
