+1, there is genuinely no reason why I would want to use my melon sword right now when mining with the help of macros I can be just as lazy as I would be melon farming but make almost double the money.

First of all... there are no haste potions.. Nobody can get those.. if you could get haste potions then melons would be worth a good 1/3 of what they are now.. and fly doesn't matter.

Either Nerf the Melon Sword cost to 1500 NStars and increase melon price to $1.75, or do a straight melon price increase to $2 please.

 

Increasing the price of melons is a good idea, but decreasing the price of a msword by 1500 isn't. It's completely fine to bump the price of an item, but reducing the value of someone's tool by over 250k is another thing. Besides, raising the price of melons allows players to make more money, which stimulates the economy. Lowering the price of a star tool doesn't. (Sure, you could argue that it would stimulate the economy as more players would buy a melon sword, but then there's an eff7 which would still make more money and it's at the same price.).

Personally I think $2.25 is a good price point for melons.

So firstly, right now the amount people generally seem to record making per hour melon farming is $13,000-$14,000.
Divide 14000 by 1.65, you get 8485 melons broken.
Multiply 8485 by 2.25 and you get 19091.25.

This is still less than mining and under 20k/hr, it just makes the tool appealing again.

Plus if people have more money they'll spend it, and more trade is good.

 

I think that is a good price and would be fair for all owners of star tools. :)
