    I can confirm this. This is how I mine (on speed 10) and I make about $20k-$25k/hr. A lil more right after a reset.

    I was wrong about melon prices.

    After giving further thought, I believe the price should be increased as the suggestion entails because of the small amount melon farming makes compared to the immense cost of the melon sword. Whilst it may require less effort than eff7 mining does, the difference in effort isn't that large so that point should be irrelevant for the most part. This also diversifies money making, something that is good for ECC as a dynamic economy server.

    I support this suggestion.

    Okay, you don't have a melon sword but give a -1 to the melon price bump, think as if you had one, I think there's more than 1 users in the thread who don't have one.

    With all the potatoes from my ratings, I can /sell them and afford a melon sword of my own.


    -1 (A better explanation because I was just lazy before) I believe the increase would mean too much reward for too little work.
    I have used melon swords, with the right farm setup you can just walk forward and hold down the mouse by leaning against blocks, no /speed required. Even in the basic design, macros to automate some of the process negate even more of the work. While this would reward those engaged in the farming, it would also reward the many to whom this means very little work.

    That's irrelevant. Time is money. Effort is optional.

    Anyway, the difference between effort from mining and farming isn't that large, especially when you consider the large inequality between the amount of money mining makes and the amount of money farming makes. It isn't like we're complaining about some 3k/hour difference; The difference between the money the two tools make is over 10k+/hour.

    On a side note, you can easily Netflix and mine too. You've never tried that?

    Profit per hour from mining fluctuates; melon farming is stable and guaranteed. I don't see a 10k+/hour difference consistently. Towards the end of the month mining profits drop, without pyro+ you need to be actively aware of your surrounding (or waste inventory space on non-stackable potions), don't have fly/speed+ and the profits drop more.

    In this economic situation, the reward (/sell price) that is determined by Andrew should and does equate to the effort put in. Both need to be taken into consideration. If we are to base this on "time is money" solely, everything needs a bump in price. As I have said before, time is ECC's most undervalued resource.

    I wouldn't be against dropping the price down from 2000 nstars though or raising the cost of eff7s, however I don't think this option is as viable.

    I do not have a Melon-Sword currently, nor can I afford one so I do not believe my view to be skewed.
    I believe Melon blocks should be raised to $2/block in order to combat their low profit/hour.

    Well, three things. One, you're completely ignoring the fact that eff7 mining make indisputably much more than melon farming does. It doesn't matter if the income is consistent or not, you're almost guaranteed to make more than you would melon farming. eff7 mining makes a huge amount and it is extremely hard to deny that.

    Now, you're also neglecting the fact that the gap between effort isn't that much between mining and farming. Sure, you may have to pay attention a bit more, but you can still literally watch Netflix while mining, just like you can do so with farming. eff7 mining doesn't take as much effort to justify this large gap of money made per an hour between the eff7 and a melon sword. You can effortlessly make tons of money from an eff7, just like you can do with a melon sword. The effort argument is quite irrelevant to the situation.

    Finally, here's the important fact: A melon sword costs about $250,000 more than an eff7 pickaxe, yet it makes around half as much as an eff7 pickaxe does. Do you see the problem here? The price difference is absurd when you take into account what these two tools can make. It's quite unfair to melon sword owners who've paid 1mil for their tools to make less than a $750,000 tool.
