I wouldn't mind seeing user ride through the markets with a horse with there chests attached to the horse so you can buy things and place it in the horse , it would be a really good addition and would make ecc really fun , horses horses horses!!!!! Gets me so exited!!!

And also lots of other servers don't have horses...So more people would be attracted to this server. :)

 

Yes but there's always that chance you'd get mobbed by 50 people at spawn and your horse would die instantly. Another issue to figure out...Pvp is disabled everywhere but Pvp arenas, but what about PvE?

 

Horses would give me something to do every time I loose money in lotto, die in PVP or just want a change. I would love to see them implemented. It would be cool if you could sell them as well!

 

I think they should sell the eggs for 2500 nstars, and those can be placed in the main world.

 

That would make horses more then twice as rare as melon swords. The first guy to get one would be usernameofdeath :p

Nah, if we're gonna add horses they need to be widely obtainable, or else it wouldn't make much of a difference.

You think people get mad when they lose a 1,000 netherstar sword, imagine the rage at a 2,500 netherstar horse loss.

 

That's gonna cause some hate posts on the forums, that's for sure...

 

The whole point of having horses is not only to allow the current community to enjoy them, but also to lure new users. Ain't gonna happen with a price tag of $875,000 EcoDollars.

 

Hey guys, my take on this.

After playing with horses on single player and seeing what you can do with them, i belive ECC needs horses encorperated into the server. My thoughts on this is it would be very complicated, such as

1. Dev Work
2. Make it so they dont butcher every 15 minutes
3. Portals?
4. Killed by players?

Overall it would be worth it, and a great addition to the community! I am planning on adding to my town
1. Horse races
2. Jousting
3. Public Stables
4. Horse PVP

I hope that my input helps, and i am a full supporter of horses on ECC!

 

I would like it if you could purchase the Spawn Egg for 100-500 thousand Eco Dollars. It would take a bunch out of the economy.

 

Like I explained above, making them too expensive would serve no purpose.

It wouldn't lure builders to the server because they would see this huge price tag. And if people lost their 300k horse they would rage like horrible.

If we're going to make then expensive at all, lets make the price 10k or 15k. No higher.

 

Btw its impossible to get a horse to go threw a portal

My guess is he's saying we'll have to increase the size of the portals or allow the player to, in technical terms, lock the horse. Like a car.

 

Care to branch out on that?

If it's a core minecraft issue then yes, it isn't going to happen. I know mobs can go through nether portals, but this is water, not sure how that effects minecraft issues.
If it's a plug-in then it can be changed, albeit lots of work.

But from what I know, the water portals are a plugin, therefor it can be possible to change them.

 

It is a problem with both the plugin and Minecraft.
