Minecraft Name: Nicodemux Suggestion: Make horses available on ECC when Minecraft 1.6 comes online Reason: I've been reading about the new horses feature that will be introduced in Minecraft 1.6, which they are "hoping" to release by the end of May. I really want to use them, but with ECC using automated mob killing via the "Butcher", I don't see how horse use is viable on ECC without changes. Any Other Information: If horses are enabled, Horse breeding (for increased stats), horse racing, and pvp on horseback all come into play. Those are ALL things I'd be highly interested in trying out. Because breeding and storing the horses would be easiest in properly protected "stables", and because building "racetracks" would be easiest in protected towns, being able to keep horses in main world would be awesome if server performance allows it. Also, it's worth mentioning that if we want to try to have horses on ECC, it would be great if people could use give and accept teleports while on horseback. That might end up needing to be fixed, since my understanding is that being TP'd while riding in a boat (which I would assume is similar) does not work right now.
With every minecraft update come bugs. I'm sure horses will not be implemented until they are known to be stable and not glitchy like riding them into the main world from the mining world or something. Also I'm sure some plugins would have to be created to be able to fully implement them into ECC to stop lag and such. Maybe in the future
Yeah good point. I guess this suggestion is more of a "here's something to keep in mind", rather than a "I want this now" kind of request.
Well it's not really I want it now, It is in fact a suggestion, But with every suggestion comes time and such. It might happen, but it's almost always a waiting game.

Yeah and different types of minigames as nico suggested like horse racing and pvp horse battles, along with having breeders to breed a specific horse for your needs. horses will open up a whole new wide range of things to do on ecc, but first things first, we need to make sure as glackmore said, horses need to be stable before being implemented in-game.
Yes when this comes along and if the bugs are smoothed out It would be awesome to add horses to the mainworld! Andrew would have to wire the butcher around them or something though. You would have professional breeders all over the place. Only problem is horses would have to be able to travel with you from /spawn and /home and ect, which I'm not sure is possible. May take some time for them to be stable. You would have people auctioning off horses in auction chat
That's what I mean, horses will be bread for racing and toughness and what not, horse armor will be enchanted(if possible) and all those things will make players loads of money, Nico, I'll build a stable with you if you want, I wouldn't mind sharing one with you in my town :3
Maybe we can do that someday Matt, if this feature comes to fruition. Because you are correct; according to the Minecraft Wiki, a high-stat horse can be put out to stud and make MORE horses with great stats. ECC stud farms for the win!
If they would enable horses, that would be great ! But wouldn't they only spawn in the mining world and get butchered every 15 minutes ? The name tags will be cool too, I will call my horse "Sarah Jessica Parker".
Well, she may have a bit of a "horse face" thing going on but she's a lot richer than me and she has a nice spouse (Matthew Broderick), so I give her a pass. I wouldn't name my horse after her though... it would weird me out to be mounting something named after an older celebrity who used to be on a trashy TV show.
I know; I just thought I would double-down rather than ignoring it I used to be hard up for entertainment and watched that show. It had a few moments here and there but was mostly forgettable.
