Hi all,
I've personally noticed that many players are often confused or outright ignorant about our various rules related to the ownership of towns of towns and the transfer thereof. This news post intends to help clarify this today whilst informing you of recent rule changes made in this regard to that will help clarify these rules further.
I'll start with the bottom line here: If you did not apply for a town on your own and instead bought it from or were given it by another user and have not successfully filed a town transfer or town claim for it, your "ownership" of said town is absolutely meaningless: You have no right to file any applications for it. Any agreement that says the official/original owner must file town feature applications on your behalf is no longer enforced. You have no inherent right to even keep the town - If a successful town transfer or claim application is not filed within 5 days of being given the town, your town can be seized right back from you by the previous owner with no compensation provided. Any agreement that says the original owner cannot reclaim a town from you is not enforced either.
With regards to the previous owner reclaiming "your" town, here are the updated rules as follows:
"If you recieve another user’s town without a Town Claim or Town Transfer, be wary that the Official Owner may contact a GameAdmin+ after 5 days of you recieving the town to have the town returned to them."
TL;DR - If you are not the official owner of your town, you cannot apply for town features for it and may not even be an owner of the town tomorrow.
The prospect of having their own towns seized from right under them will come at a shock to many, so there will be a 1 week moratorium on town reclaims for people to get their towns transferred over to them. After the 1 week grace period is over, anyone who "owns" a town that hasn't been transferred in their name is running the risk of losing it....

Hi!
We have a few changes regarding our contracts system on ECC to announce here. As many of you already know, contracts and their rules are often far too complex and nitpicky, whether it be their silly legalistic formatting, extended wait times due to small "errors" and dumb rules in general. We've fixed this - It is our goal to make contracts as user-friendly as possible. Please take note of the following changes in this regard-
Formatting for the OP has been changed to a far more simplified and clearer/concise version. Signatures/agreement to a contract no longer need any specific format, aside from an explicit agreement (ie "I agree.")
Contracts using the older format are still acceptable and valid contracts. They will be accepted. Which format you use is 100% optional and up to you.
Rules have also been modified to emphasize the fact that while specific timeframes are necessary in long-term contracts, such as loans or payment plans, they are not needed for short-term immediate contracts (ie I give you a pickaxe in exchange for $100 now).

The Survival Games server is live!
Join us for the grand opening

The SG server can be accessed via the /sgs & /sgserver commands.
The SG server is run in seasons following the same schedule as our SkyBlock seasons.
SG season 1 we will be running 1.8 pvp mechanics to see what users think and how well we enjoy it.
SG season 1 will be offering 500 EcoDollars per kill and 3,000 EcoDollars per win. Once we examine how these beta test values go, we will make adjustments as necessary in the current or following seasons. (To withdraw your winnings, you must be in the lobby and use /bank deposit)
Keep in mind, this season will be a BETA season. This obviously means that this is a fresh game mode and issues will arise. We ask you to do your part in helping us and report everything via the proper sections:
Bugs/Issues: https://ecocitycraft.com/help
Suggestions/Changes: https://ecocitycraft.com/suggestions
With this launch come two new Prestige achievements.
Information is available on our wiki page.
EcoCityCraft Prestige Levels
IMPORTANT NOTE: This SG server addition is a LITE addition. We want to stress this as much as possible. Our main focus is and always will be our Main Economy servers. The SG plugin we are using is not open source and has an extremely limited API, meaning there is very little we can do on the customization front, beyond what the actual plugin offers. Our main goal with this addition was to bring some light back on the PVP aspect of EcoCityCraft.
Don’t forget to check out our sale on SG...
