Overview(top)
Rules
Treat others with respect.
There’s no need to say or do things to make others feel bad or upset. Trolling, generally defined as provoking a person/situation to get a response, is also not allowed. This rule also encompasses intentionally trying to kill users in non-PvP zones (basically everywhere but in a PvP arena or in VMR) which is not allowed.
Offensive content is not allowed.
While some minor amount of swearing is allowed, severe or frequent vulgarity, especially when directed at others, is not. Offensive item/mob names, skins, minecraft structures and usernames are not allowed, and you are required to change or remove any if asked by a staff member.
Keep chat family friendly.
Chat should be family friendly. This means certain subjects are not allowed in chat. These include, but are not limited to, discussions about sex, politics, religion or drugs. If a staff member asks you to move a conversation elsewhere or drop one, you should do so.
There are exceptions to this rule for VIP chat and private chat channels, which are explained in further detail below.
Advertising is not allowed.
Advertising other Minecraft servers is strictly banned. You also may not advertise websites, YouTube channels, Twitch streams, or anything else if it is not related to EcoCityCraft.
Allow moderators to do their jobs.
You may not attempt to do a moderator’s job in threatening to punish players for breaking the rules. You are not allowed to argue against any decision made by a staff member regarding enforcement of the rules in any public channel. If you do disagree, please contact that staff member privately to resolve the issue, and if you cannot, contact administration via our staff feedback form.
Spamming is not allowed.
Spamming is filling chat with multiple unneeded characters or messages. Don't do it.
This rule also applies to spamming commands that don't necessarily show up in chat (whether it be manually or via powertool) or shouting, other chat functions or purchasing raffle tickets to the extent of making chat hard to read.

Cheating in any form is not allowed. Anything that is considered to give you an unfair advantage over other players is considered cheating. This can include but is not limited to client mods to generate items/money easier or faster than otherwise possible, abusing server bugs or using alts/friends to gain more than you would normally gain on a single account. Generating money/items or other assets while AFK is also not allowed. On the VMR (Vanilla MineRun) server cheating is not punishable as it is on every other EcoCityCraft server.
Trading For Real Items
Transactions to buy or sell EcoDollars or other in-game items for real money or other external products are not allowed. This includes minecraft accounts! The only exception to this is where players trade or pay another player in exchange for a purchase in their name from our official EcoCityCraft Shop.
Griefing is not allowed.
Griefing is considered destroying or changing another player’s property or buildings without their consent in any protected area. Don’t do it.
Do not scam other players, or try to.
Scamming is taking money, items, work, or anything else of value from another player dishonestly. This includes teleporting people into PvP areas without their consent. Unlocked chests and items on the ground on EcoCityCraft are considered fair game.
Channel Specific Rules
Certain chats have specific rules you must follow while using them. You are required to be speaking English at all times in all of the channels specifically listed below:
[G] Global Chat:
This is our general chat for EcoCityCraft ingame. Everyone on the Network can see this chat.
[VIP] VIP Chat:
This is a chat for donors only. Civil discussion of politics, irl betting/gambling and religion is allowed here at the discretion of staff.
[Tr] Trade Chat:
You may advertise for the purposes of conducting in-game business within our trade channel, however you may not use more than one message every 5 minutes. It is also not allowed to use alt-accounts to post advertisements for yourself or other users.
[Auc] Auction Chat:
All Auctions must be through the automated auction system - You can see related commands via /auc. Auction chat is specifically for discussing Auctions. Manual Auctions are not allowed.
[Trv] Trivia Chat:
This channel is only for hosting trivia competitions. Only one person may host a trivia competition at a time. Trivia chat is not to be used to encourage spam.
Any chat channels not specifically listed above are privately owned, player-run channels. Rules for such chat channels are more relaxed and mostly at the sole discretion of the chat owner. Staff will not act upon most report of misbehavior that occur within these chat channels. Only in limited circumstances, such as severe harassment/toxic behavior or illicit activity shall administrators investigate what was said in those channels.
Feature Use and Conduct Rules:
Many of our Feature packages have their own rules and guidelines for use as well. You should review that features specific page under the EcoCityCraft Support Shop to check for any specific rules.

If you just joined the server or want to get a general idea of expectations, this is more than enough. However, if you're into the details or are a veteran player on the main economy servers, we'd recommend you take an in-depth look at Main/Main North server rules and legal practices regarding evictions, alternate account usage, item ownership and more on our Main Network Rules.
Main Network Rules(top)
These rules apply to our Main Servers and Main Servers only. Please refer to our Server Rules page if you would like to see our network-wide rules.

Town Evictions & Seizures
Mayors are allowed to add any members to their town as they see fit. However, we have rules on how they can go about removing/evicting members. A mayor cannot remove a member from their town unless one of the following criteria is met:
Item Ownership
You may designate an item as yours via the /own command. Items that have a designated ownership belong to that player no matter how they have been obtained after the ownership has been set. In practice, this means that staff will return any owned item to its designated owner regardless of who is currently in possession if requested.
We still allow the trading/sale of items where the seller isn't the designated owner. The seller, however, needs to inform the buyer of this and the fact that the designated owner may still reclaim the item from them at any time.
Multiple Accounts
While we allow the use of multiple accounts, we strictly ban any transactions that may be used to benefit your "main" account. This means that other accounts may not give money or items to your main under any circumstances. Your other accounts are also not allowed to rank up past resident.
Lag-Inducing Structures
Users are not allowed to build structures that can cause lots of lag. These include, but are not limited to, chunks with more than 20 decorative heads or 5 campfires.
