I choose ECC cause I know of no other server. One day I got minecraft. I searched for good servers and this was the first I visited. I then met officepwnz123 and told him how I was new and was looking for a good server. Office then threatened to set a creeper on me if I ever went on any other server than this one.

I wanted to join my first server...ever. I went onto some website that had a list of Minecraft servers and they were in alphabetical order. I chose a random letter which turned out to be "E" I scrolled down to a random one and I saw "Ecocitycraft". I joined and here I am now, I joined from complete random!

 

Beacause after wading through piles of servers, from pvp to Freebuild, I found this server. I have never strayed since.

 

I chose ECC because I just got my laptop this Christmas and really wanted a good server to join, I saw that it was an economy server and joined right away, Also because of all of the great people.

 

So I chose ECC because, I tried all the other servers on the server list and they sucked... SO I came on here and it was great. Moved into Vengfulbacon's town one day, met officepwnz123, the nooby builder at the time, and went from there :p Me and office are now besties. He's all mine. You can't have him.

My favorite moment on this server has to be last week, when I saw this one kids skin..... BoomBox51

it was my first ever server i started playing and it was great i found it through just seaching for servers :D

 

How it started:

One day, on a class trip on June 3rd, 2011, I was being stupid and broke BOTH of my wrists. :/ About 2-3 weeks later, at home, with a splint on my right fore arm and a large cast on my left arm, I was playing on my computer, or at least trying to. A friend came over, and told me about this fun game called 'Minecraft'. When I first played it, I wasn't too interested in it, and as the time went on, I stopped playing it altogether. Even though I was a fan of the Yogscast's series Shadow of Israphel, I still didn't really care about playing Minecraft.

Then around November I decided to try out minecraft classic. I made some really cool stuff, including a large castle built on a hill (Yes, this is possible to build something very big in classic). I tried to save it, but it said I needed an account. I didn't want to bother with that then, so I just kept on building cool things in classic, and leaving them. I finally decided I wanted to save my stuff, so I made an account, BubblezBoy98. Then regular classic got boring, so I decided to step it up a notch and play multiplayer.

On the very first server I played on, I had no clue what I was doing. I went to random worlds and started breaking blocks, trying to 'troll' people. Since I was new to multiplayer, I had no clue it was a bad thing to do. Finally, getting bored of playing on different servers everytime, I decided to settle on a little server, server1 (That's not the names, I'm just using that in place of the real server name). Here, I made a few friends, got to a high rank, then the server closed. A few days before it's death, this guy came on and he told me about another server called server2. Interested, I tried it out. Turns out that guy was an admin, and he instantly ranked me up a few ranks. Then a friend from server1 came on and recognized me. He was an admin on this server as well as on server1. I thought this was kinda cool, and we got along well. With the help from some admins on the server, I was able to have a few of my own worlds named after me. I had a blast there, making a car shop, a hotel, a huge pool to bedrock, a giant spleef arena, and a few more things.

Then one Christmas break, my cousin, slimypeople48, came over to my house. I was showing him of this awesome game, and how he should get it. He agreed, and I made him an account with the name of slimypeople48. We both played around on server2, making houses and statues. Then one day I noticed he hasn't been online lately. Wondering, I talked to him one day, and he had said he had bought the full version of Minecraft. I was really jealous, as the full version looked awesome. Then I thought of something. I could just use his account and play singleplayer. Excitedly, I did this. 'Error report: bad video card drivers'... I hate old PCs. This put a big dampening on everything. Then I remembered my brother also had a computer, and I tried it out on that. Much to my surprise, it worked. Whenever he was gone, I was on it, playing on a server I had found. The odd time, slimy'd allow me to go on EcoCityCraft and look around, not usually for a long time. Most of the time, I'd be on the server that I'd found.

After a while, I was really wanting to get my own account, but thought it to be worthless as I couldn't play the full version on my PC anyway. Finally one night, I looked around YouTube, trying to find a solution to 'Bad Video Card Drivers'. Happily, I found one. Quickly I tried it out, signed onto slimys account, and tried it. It worked!! Now I was really happy, texting slimy about it and how all I needed now was an account. As I have parents who don't really like buying things off of the internet, I got slimy to buy it for me, then I'd pay him the $27.99 next time I saw him. As I didn't really like the name 'BubblezBoy98', I decided to make a new account and make that account the full version. I thought for a while, then remembered that my YouTube name was MrBubblez98, so why not make my account name MrBubblez98. I did this, and bought it. Within an hour or two, I was playing Minecraft. Literally the first thing I did when I opened up minecraft in browser, was go to the servers and add mc.ecocitycraft.com, and connect.

When I first got on, I had no clue what I was doing. This was still when there was the original spawn tower. Then I looked at my chat, and noticed I had a PM from slimy, telling me to accept the teleport from boston81. Quickly I did, and ended up in a barren town of LoonyVille, with just a few chests in the corner. Slimy gave me full iron armor and some tools, and told me to go mining and find clay for bricks. Happily I did this. Later on, I had to help clear his town of trees. After this was all done, I had lots of wood, and asked to build a house. He didn't mind, as long as I didn't let anyone else live in his town. Happy, I built a house, which, to this day, still stands in LoonyVille. I was pretty happy with this, and then slimy gave me a present: full diamond armor. Back then, diamonds were still worth about $95-110 each, so it was quite nice to have that.

After a long time, I really started to save my money and save up for Resident. One night, I was still only at $5,###. Slimy made an agreement with me, that he'd pay me the $15,000 required for Resident, but then I'd owe him. I took this offer right away, and applied for Resident at about 10:00 PM. The next day when I got on after school, I was a Resident.


And that's my story of how I became acquainted with Minecraft, to my Residency.

But on point. This was actually the 3rd server that I played. All in a span of 1 hour, I went from one server (where they had a downtime going on so I skipped it), to the next server (which I couldn't log into at all), and then I finally waded into this server and convinced two of my friends to join me. Needless to say, there is not another server quite like this one (if they are like this one then they are obviously of lower quality and caliber). Also, because I enjoy being one step ahead of those two friends in almost every way possible on here.

 

I found this server on the top list of a minecraft server site on my second day of having minecraft. Not very exciting. :(

 

Heres my story:

So one day, one of my friends told me about Minecraft. I saw him crafting a chest and didn't know what the hell he was doing. So I thought the game was too confusing and I didn't play. Then, another one of my friends was talking about it. So I was interested. I installed java, installed minecraft and started it up.

I played on creative mode single player, just flattening the tops of mountains the put my house on. My first house was just about a 40x17 2 story iron block house. I was SO confused about iron doors, because I wanted to match iron blocks with iron doors, but right clicking them wouldn't work. I had to break the iron door and replace it every time I wanted to enter my "house". So I just went with the normal wooden door. I knew nothing about setting my difficulty, so every 2 minutes, a zombie or skeleton or a creeper would spawn in my house. I didn't know about light sources but i did know of flint and steel. I ran around with it lighting all of the wool flooring on fire, and finally was able to click the bed. My house burned down later that day...

So I gave up on that and tried the multiplayer selection. So I went to about 2 other servers before ECC. The first one I was spawned in some castle thing and when though a portal. The portal led to another portal with bedrock on either side and in a protected area. So I quit that server. The next one I went on I was hanging out with some mod, when I saw a creeper. I apparently "attracted" the creeper to his house and it blew up.

Then I found ECC. The old spawn was awesome compared to almost anything Ive seen. So I went from town portal, to portal looking for unlocked chests to "borrow" from. I never found any. I asked how I could be a president in local about 20 times before someone answered and told me to get a job. I spammed up the chat until danswaugh hired me. He was my first friend on ECC. So he went over some ground rules and told me how to use different chats. Then, I started farming pumpkins, which were still at $2 at the time. I used my fist until dan offered me a iron axe. It was SO much faster. Then I broke it. He said he could repair it but I didn't know that you still needed the item to do it. So I bought another one and continued farming.

I was a builder for about 4 months. Then I won a 15k lotto. And bought a plot expansion. Then about a month later, dan won about 50k in the lotto and gave 10k to me for Resident. And I was off, no longer a noob (well, maybe still a little :p ) and slowly built my balance up. I was making a decent 10k a day. Until I learned how to buy more then 1 lotto ticket at a time. I was addicted. And of course I lost it all in less then a week. Then I won about 200k, then I lost it. Then I got about 350k and lost it.. BUT THEN I got 500k.... and of course, lost it. So then I won about 100k in the lotto and bought Mayor.

my older brother told me about this server at first i thought the server was boring he took me to his oumpkin fram in the wild about after a week of playing i was hooked on farming i then told my bff about the server and she plays alot too =D its the best server out there i had tryed alot of servers but this is the only one i told my bff about because all the other servers i played on were terrible and people were mean to me

 

My coming here was an accident, the day I bought MC I wanted to go try servers, and this one just so happened to be the first one on the server list. I like the shiny banner, it appealed to my simple mind that is obsessed with shiny sparkly things. I knew I had to give this server a go. Never played on a single one since.

That's how I got here, this is why I stay.

The community that ECC has to offer is so vast, and always expanding. It's really the people that make up what makes this server so great, the people, the community, and everyone all together. To me, this is the most important part of the server. We would be nothing without our community and our players.

There are MANY reasons I play on Ecocitycraft. One reason is it is the best server there is for minecraft! another reason is that I can hang out with many people, and get to meet new friends! Ecocitycraft is the best server and I play to get out of daily life and enjoy my life on ecocitycraft, a change of any other! Ecocitycraft makes the best change of minecraft and will provide mounds of joy for others that play this server!
