It wasn't so much having mentors as it was having people to talk to when i was starting out. I spent a lot of time on ventrilo talking to other players, and information flows a lot faster over voice chat.

 

The first person I met was andrewtennant, who sold me a plot. He is a resident and in no longer active.

Who helped you? Matberry, Smitedyou1 and thirdkid6972

How did they help you? Matberry employed me early on and taught me the very basics. Thirdkid soon stepped in and helped me move past this, he brought me into his town free of charge and helped me with higher end farming. He gave me perms to all of his farms and had a HUGE impact on me. Because of him, I worked so much harder and pushed for mayor in a mere 5 days. And smitedyou1, he has helped me in the most recent times, giving me suggestions and tips to help improve my higher level play on the server, helped me win the lotto once by teaming up, and also just teaching me to have more fun with my money instead of hoarding it and go for ranks only. All these players have helped me in all stages in ECC. I've been playing for almost 3 months now and I am enjoying it more than ever. Most of all, these three guys have been my best friends on the server! Matberry decided to quit for reasons unknown to me and the other two have been fairly inactive recently. A new friend and mentor to me has been monkeyBUTT244. He sold his town and lost his melon sword. One day he had asked is any of his friends were on and not knowing who I was I just blurted out "I'm your friend." and from then on we have been good friends on the server. Since he had nowhere to stay I decided to put about 1k in and build him a beautiful "Bachelor Pad" to stay in!
I would just like to thank all these people for being awesome! :D

 

Who was your "Mentor": Sloppie
How did he help you, and your meeting: I met him after buying my first house from him which is the house I still live in no. He made me his co-mayor and he is the reason im where im at today. I'm am gonna buy mayor soon cause I have 90k thanks to him and the lottery.
Do you still talk to him?: Sure do, I still live in his town and we talk a lot and he has tried to help me find land for my town now.

How did they help you, and your meeting: Well, being a builder, I said in trade chat that I would buy perms to a farm. After a discussion with Smitedyou1, he let me to his melon farm as long as I payed him (insert amount here)..I still haven't... Also, he gave me a free Fortune 2 Daxe...which I lost...As for Thirdkid, he has always helped me out, let me use farms, loaned me a bunch, and other things. As of this past month, I have join the Shroomtopia Nation and Smitedyou1, Thirdkid6972, and I have been working on a farm for me (Mostly Smited because I have been inactive :p). Well...bye.

Do you still talk to them? Not recently as we are on a different time schedule and I don't catch them online.

 

I remember that day :) I think you have paid that back by helping out around town <3 And eff3 fort2 I think ;) Farm will be awesome!

 

I think I helped you wheat farm as well with my auto wheat :) and yes you need to have fun with the money :) I think we will be active again soon, don't worry :)

Yeppers! And awesome, I feel lonely sometimes now :/ I also have a few questions to ask pertaining to.. Certain individuals.. I'l be on as soon as the donor period is up.

 

Interesting. The first time i ever saw legitgolfer was back when fish were $50. He was in trade channel trying to buy a fising rod for $15 :p

 

When I first joined there was only a few that really helped me. F7nky (banned) brought me to oasis my second day on the server and help set me up. He also took me mining with him and let me use his farm to become resident. He also made me a coowner the day a became resident which allowed oasis to remain when he was perma banned. I have been there since :).

After that Camcliff was my main mentor of sorts. He was a mod and always bought my diamonds at a fair price. He also always answered my questions and gave me advice. The first day I got nether access he escorted me to a spawner. I was sooo nervous that the all mighty Unknownrider would chase me down and kill me (that was back when unknown stalked the nether spawn lol.

hokingyeung, JamieSinn, BurnsBrightly, and sitomo played a role in my ecc life as well.

zardgyer, zoolouie, and rabidworm were always in local and also helped me at times.

As a moderator I would say my biggest mentors were Jetscat, iEvolive, and ofcourse WeWinAgain.
