On VMR, those of us that play pretty regular understand the risks but would appreciate if after the auto update every Sunday that if the theme has not been announced (perhaps by 6 p.m. Server time) as being updated that it would stay the same for the week again. This would eliminate so much confusion in waiting to see if it will change later in the week. It is a hard enough grind to succeed in any given week, but is exceptionally difficult if we work for a day or two just to have all of our effort just reset and gone.Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?: Easier for andrew and staff as they would not be constantly asked about the theme for days sometimes. Better for the players to know earlier in the week what the theme is for that week.Other information: Thank you in advance for considering this option to hopefully improve VMR play.Plugin or custom addition: One suggestion per form: I Understand.
As an avid VMR player I am with Admiral on this one. It would be great if we could find away to streamline and simplify the process. I wanted to ask a question on the resets..Does the server have to be reset a second time when a new theme is chosen or can the /sell items just be added without it? Maybe if we just had the auto reset allowing players more time to get set up and prepared, then maybe the timeframe for selling wouldn’t really be much of an issue. It just seems like a lot of work for Andrew each week to get it in place and set up. Still the best thing to come to ECC in my opinion! So please don’t get rid of it.
I will not be changing anything related to the reset system we have. (Meaning changing prices, while letting people get set up, as there is no way to set all prices to zero on a reset unless I get a bunch of things coded to make that possible. And then it would mean that on the weekends I'm not around, it would be a dead VMR week as everything is worth $0.) However I will stick to this personal rule from now on: If the theme is not changed by 11:59pm EST on Sunday night, it will be the same theme. This way, if you see a new theme, you're sure it's set, and if there's no theme change, there will only be 10 hours of uncertainty. @TITLE-03 Wiki Team Leader @TITLE-02 Wiki Team If there is a place to state what I said above in the wiki, please do so.
