It redefines the region/protection area only not the name.

 

I do know what it does... I was simply mistaken.

 

Renaming regions doesn't just cause all sorts of issues with deleting the region and remaking it, it also throws off every application done on the town, as they would still have the old name.

 

But town transfer apps have a changed title of the town app - why not this app, too?

 

We could change the application for the town, but this wouldn't show on any feature apps (portals, warps, chat, etc). They'd certainly still have the link to the town app but wouldn't be searchable using the towns current name.

It'd also cause issues for the town features that get made based off of town names (warps, chats, PvP arenas).

 

Mh, that might be difficult, indeed. Then maybe add a note under the town name in the app stating the new name instead of changing the title? That would keep town names searchable for. And if chat channel etc needs to be changed, could that be an extra fee for the work?

 

It could, but we'd then have to ask for all relevant town feature apps and change those things manually (and bothering Phys for chats). That would make these apps rather time consuming to both fill out and handle -- which more likely than not would result in a high pricetag.

 

Well, I'd say that even a high price might be worth it. :3
Or just increase the possible waiting time for that kind of apps to 1 week+.

 

I will +1 that. It might be more of a hassle for the staff but the price can be like 50k because of that.
