Minecraft Name: dAtsheepd0e Suggestion: I think we should add a new application to be able to rename our towns. Reason: This could take out some money from the economy and there are some pretttyyy bad town names out there.... Any Other Information: This should cost us anywhere from 10k to 20k Link To This Plugin: n/a
I think i might know that bad reason lol. I dont think that there is any efficient way of renaming a town. I think that they would have to unprotect it, then protect it again and then add all the members and owners back
That may be it, I don't remember. If this was the issue, we could make the owner responsible for removing/readding members. I actually don't think it would be that bad though because a rename would most likely be requested when a player buys the town from the original owner. Most likely, when they buy the town the users with perms will be removed anyways.
This was suggested before and I think it was shot down due to worldguard reasons but I'm not sure why exactly. @JamieSinn might be able to provide some insight.
Lol thats actually true, because I just bought a new town and I really want to rename it. Its called "Farmlin" and I dont like the name because I want it to be a plot town.
Isn't that also required for town relocations? And if you only need to delete it for this suggestion, I'd say it would be the owner's duty to add everybody back or give proper eviction notice before. +3141592653...
Just checked, I couldn't do it. I had suspected /rg migratedb, but that didn't work at all. I'd say that the region really needs to be re-set.
The region does not need deleted. Select the two corners of the region. Expand selection vertically Run command "/rg redefine <town name>" Then your done.
Hm...it might be that this is a new feature. The WG version I use doesn't work with "Last seen names" for UUID compatibility yet, neither do /rg am and /rg rm as shortcuts work.
My Mistake. /rg redefine is to move a region. For example if you have area1 and you want to change where area 1 is, then that command is run. EDIT: This can be done directly through the regions.yml file. It would need to cost a lot to re-name regions though.
k, so I was right. Manually adding into the file - Isn't that the same as with private chat channels?
