    Suggestion: Re-add the builder bonus.

    Reason: Ok, I've never been around when the builder bonus was going on. However after talking to some players who were around for it about, i've decided to make this suggestion. So, basically, if a builder signs up on the forums and applies for the "builder bonus" they'll be rewarded 5k. I think we should readd this since it gives builders a head start and hopefully more reasons to stay. Now, there are two types of arguments against this. Firstly, the "too much money generated into the economy argument". There's pretty much only 5 markets directly impacted by inflation which are exp, nether stars, tools, ebooks and emeralds. Now, you'll rarely see a builder buying a nether star. Very rarely. Simply because most builders don't aim for or own star tools. Now onto exp. Yes, this is a market I could potentially see builders impacting with the exp shop and all. However, exp prices have been stagnant for months and builders don't really buy a lot of exp. And I could safely say, due to anvils being only available to ext commands user, and the exp shop, the ebook market is pretty much dead. And most builders don't buy emeralds. Now, there's people who say "Builders should learn how to make money themselves!" To be frank, in a economy server, you'll have to learn how to make money no matter what. There's no "teach a man to fish"-type argument that's valid with this. In any hardcore economy server, you'll have to learn how to make money no matter what. I hope this gets reimplemented and helps increase the numbers of new players who will stay on ECC.

    Being a builder with such a low money is really one of the most painful times.

    At least 1k and at most 5k will do.

    The problem with more money into the economy is that it can create inflation. Now refer to the quote. Presidents+ apply for those things, so their demographics are different.

    At a point, US2002 is correct. Will Builders likely buy star tools? No. They will most likely use it for getting Resident rank.

    Well, then how about give builders a low amount on registration?

    1,000$ (ECD) probably give them a good opportunity to earn money for either any usages (in fact, 1 day voting is already worth more than this), beyond 1,500$ (ECD) has a risk of creating inflation and economy balance.

    Also, as a builder, every dollar matters, they'll use every dollar and cents available for *many needed stuffs*, so this might be a good chance to help them a bit, I guess.

    There is no inflation as this is my money and not generated by the server.
    This does require effort on the player and hopefully will show them how to get started here on ECC and how to collect evidence in case they are scammed.

    When it was offered, they lotto'd all 5k and quit. Why do you think it was removed in the first place? Because builders were investing the $ wisely? Their builders, they see lotto, they got a free 5k, they got killed by a kitter and got no interest in the server, they lotto it and leave

    Why was it removed? I've asked many people that question and even did a little research myself and that's not close to the reason. It was removed since it was ran by andrew and andrew resigned as owner.

    Instead of giving them money we should give them knowledge. I see a lot of people that join the server and leave because they are so over whelmed. This is just an idea but all of us should donate 5k and create a town just for builders, there would be plots and a public farm and all of the people who built the town could help the builders to understand what's going on, just a thought. +1 for helping builders get on there feat though, in any way possible.

    Sorry mc05, I disagree with this statement completely. At the time there was an ECC builder bonus, I offered an additional bonus and to be honest I do not remember any player using the money for lotto. I remember instead players that were very thankful for the help to gain resident rank and many of those players went on to being mayors, presidents and more.
    Like US2002 said, it was removed during the ownership change when Andrew was having difficulties dealing with all of the server issues at the time. It was just never reinstated with the new ownership.
