UnitedStates2 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Gameplay Architect Premium UpgradeIf we're going to tag them in slack, I'd much rather there be no posts else than the post handling the appeal.
Appeals aren't for interaction, like I already said. They're applications, therefore they must be treated as such.-

I think that they could be a bit friendlier like
"I am glad to see you wish to appeal. I will be tagging the appropriate staff to handle this. Please be patient and do not bump your appeal, it is being handled. Also there will no irrelevant posting on this thread."
But one of the main reasons it comes off as rote is that the moderator usually has no clue how the smod+ is gonna feel like handling it and/or staff will need to discuss it. So start running our mouths ends up causing issues.
I hope that soon things will stop being so nuts and we can move faster on everything but for right now a great way to avoid the hassle of waiting is to not get banned.-

I do think that brand new or younger players are not familiar with the appeal process and this gives a much more professional reply to their appeal.
Every time we have new mods, we fight with the warning of no posts. And yet they continue to post (usually the same players over and over again) so I agree to get back to what worked in the past - just delete the post and warn them if needed.-

Suggestion = obvious * duh + 1
Shrugging off professionalism and human-ness not only leaves a bad taste in people's mouths, but it can also really confuse them.
Also, applications in many ways do get full-fledged responses that don't deal with the core. However, ban appeals fit more along the lines of a request than the standard idea of an application. Nonetheless, take a Business Communications course. The type of application doesn't matter whatsoever - be professional, sound neutral-friendly, and be a human. Might as well learn this skill now during your volunteer time on a game. It comes in INSANELY useful in the real world, once you're an adult, and have a job (especially if that job will deal with any form of request or application).-

All counter arguments are, frankly, invalid. If you don't have time, or just don't want to act human, why are you a moderator in this community? It thrives off interaction. Why not have that in every part?
