No mcmmo, this is a server entirely separate from the main.
Completely equal PvP that integrates into the main world economy, kills = money.

He's just worried that (similar to what happened with sg) kits will be implemented that you're forced to buy; which is a legitimate concern. Kit PvP simply means pvp with kits, nothing in that says the kits all have to be free. Andrew could see it as an opportunity to try kits again and it could be another disaster, or who knows, it could actually work out. Though @RaginDevonian the hope is that this will not be the case, all the kits will be available to everyone and we won't get sg 2.0.

Possible idea for arena construction: PvP community can put an agreed list together and these can be the requirements for a build contest. I'm not an expert on PvP but I'd imagine this would consist of open space, some cover, etc.-

+.5 I love the idea of having a KitPvP server. However, I am questioning the 'money per kill' system. One friend could just continuously kill another friend for money. To make this unproductive for them, I believe that there should be a cooldown time between when a person is killed and when they can re-enter the arena. Also, if possible, a person spawns on the other side of the map as where their killer is. Just a couple of thoughts, do not want anymore inflation on the server. -.-

KitPVP wouldn't replace SG though, so if there are ever new ideas for paid kits, they can be added to SG. Honestly, KitPVP and SG will feed off each other a bit when it comes to kit ideas. But KitPVP is generally one kit that everyone gets. Every once in a while that kit can be retired and a new kit is used instead.
There wouldn't even be a reason to add paid kits when the idea is that there is only ever one or two kits at a time and they are all balanced with each other (which won't even matter if there is only one kit). KitPVP also would only have items FROM the kits, so there is no worry about finding other items, crafting, etc.
And if something went horribly wrong and someone somehow forgot how KitPVP was actually suppose to work, the community would be in absolute outrage and it'd get fixed, lol.
In order to effectively do this and make a real profit, it would have to be solely the two friends in the arena. As well, it would be insanely slow. The best way to make a profit in KitPVP is by constantly killing people (meaning people everywhere), but if there are only two or three people who have to wait for respawn (generally not instant), grab their kit from a sign (best way IMHO - don't start with it on spawn), and either find the right teleport or do all the walking... Likely, it won't be a huge issue. Besides, at least two people are spending their time making minimal profit - they'd be better off doing anything else and splitting their time appropriately.-

Some ideas from me:
- There should be a bunch of warp signs to random places throughout the map to allow users to use the whole of the map as opposed to a small area near the spawn.
- The cooldown should prevent users from attacking or being attacked as opposed to being disallowed to enter the arena. This would allow users to run away from other users who camp at warp sites while also allowing them to jump right back in, although they wouldn't really be in it for the first few seconds. It's the feeling that counts.
- It would be great if there were kits that changed frequently (as frequently as mining/nether resets maybe?) as they would add a flavor to the game that could grow bland if the kits are not changed. If kit ideas are needed, a thread could be posted which asks for kit ideas.
- As for size, about 150x150 or so would be good. It would be larger than you-know-what in order to accommodate ECC's larger userbase, but still not massive enough to prevent frequent confrontations, which are desirable in Kit PvP.
- Kits shouldn't be restricted to normal swords and armor... why not have a kit with enchanted dyes which could be just as powerful as swords? Or even... dare I say it... fish? Kits like these would be fun, unique, and add excitement to the game that may not be seen otherwise.

Just no purchasable kits. Or, maybe do a FFA with the armor we bring! Also in FFA, when we kill someone, they don't drop their stuff, and you get rewarded a certain amount of money.-
