Because then people will moan that they are were perma banned for something which shouldn't be a perma banned reason, if you understand me.

So as a member base would you prefer multiple offenders who troll be perma banned, and i mean perma banned.
If so how many reoffences so you think before a perma ban is issued? Or do you think the ban length should simply increase every single time?

 

I would say at least increase ban time each offense. I also do think after so many times doing the exact same thing several times, as in 3,4,5 times they should be done. Stop letting them repeat there crimes and they won't keep doing it. Maybe put a monetary, in game of course, loss as part of the punishment as well to make them less likely to do it.

As it is there is no real deterrent from trolling at all as they just sit it out for a while and appeal and get back on to repeat.

 

Or just deny the appeal...

The forum tempban system has worked fine. I have noticed lesser amounts of troll posts due to the swift amount of warnings that are given. And, I have noticed forum tempbans more often due to the warning system now in place.

Plus, in-game is in-game and forums are forums. The two don't need to link unless you are permabanned.

Pretty sure donkey5k, ChargerBoltz5, Steveshizzle, Mission001, LRP85 and myself aren't trolls...In fact, I don't think any of us have been forum tempbanned or banned ingame for trolling. And we commented -1 or disagreed. Just saying.

 

Yea, I don't troll, but don't agree that forum actions require in game punishment.
