To all staff...
What are all the extra commands/ things you can do when u become staff... If there are to many to name what are your favorites? -
This is a cool thread. Very good idea to make this.
Okay I've always wondered: What kind of staff training do you get? Please answer in detail. (this is to all/any staff) -

At all the staff; what was the first thing you said in global chat after becoming staff. Similar to a question above.
-
There are quite a few, But I like the /thru, or /j features. The staff mainly train themselves/ask eachother questions. There isnt any "official" training.I said "Hello". That was it.
-
Well personally, my favorite command when I got staff was /thru. I hung out inside the survival games board a lot :D
Staff training is mostly trial and error, as well as learning by threads in moderators+, and asking questions in the staff channel.
My first words as a staff member were something along the lines of "This will be the first thing I say as a mod, so... Hi." -

Good to know lol. I always thought you would get in trouble for messing up or demoted. -
It depends on the mistake, honestly. For the most part, new staff get a lot of lee-way, but some mistakes just aren't excusable, either.

Question for all Staff (excluding myself): Despite whichever rank you aspire to be or most enjoy(ed), which Staff rank color is your favorite?
For me, I really love the Moderator blue (actually I loved the old SM purple). Blue is my second favorite color. -
I farm little, rarely if ever play SG. Instead, I like to promote my shop, my charity (Freecycle) and do land clearing or building demolition jobs for other users. Yes, I do apps and appeals and complaints, too, but, to be out there, working with and for members of the community is my personal interest. -
I like to think that people can change... and while those who break the rules over and over can be frustrating, we have to remember that the bulk of ECC's user base are young kids that might not understand what the impact is of what they are doing. We are here to teach them, as much as we are to punish rule breaking. -
I personally love red, but I like being a moderator. Which is why I had a bit of red added in my signature, but because of me being a mod have blue be the main color.
