I started my ecc life about 2 and a half years ago when I looked up "bestest servers ever" in google and ecc popped up:p when I joined I walked straight through the tutorial gate where I spent an hour or so figuring out what to do. Then I went through one of the four wild gate ways at spawn and walked into the wilderness and made a 6x6 house in the top of a tree. I then farmed dirt until I had enough money to buy 3 diamonds to make a pick which I used to dig straight down to bed rock where I spent something like 8 hours clearing out a 30x30x4 area and protecting it with obsidian so no one could griefe it. I planted pumpkins but they kept dying because they had no water so I dug straight up and diverted a stream to run unto the hole I had dug to water my farm and waited for my pumpkins to grow. I then spent the next 3 months harvesting the pumpkins one at a time until I had around $8000 which I used to buy a 20x20 plot in the town of gold city which was owned by BlokHead216 for 4k. I build a sweet house that still stands to this day and build a bunch of wheat farms under it. I then figured out that you could DONATE to ecc and bought ext command ext creations multi home water and teleport as a builder:D i spent the next month or so farming in the town farm until I got resident. Then I donated $20 to another user for 100k and bought mayor and named my very first town "jade city". I was so exited that I played for a day and a half straight filling it in and building a wall around it so no one could get in:)
At this point I had still not made a signal friend... But 2 weeks later when I had farmed my way to president and had donated for fly which made me a $$$$ president I started making some of my first ever friends on ecc. The first was @killerdarknes who soon after got permanent banned for scamming.. And the second was @officepwns123 <3. I now had a 200x400 area which I made look awesome and sold plots for a few months accumulating wealth until I had something like 112k. And that's when it happened........I discovered lotto....
I had never payed attention to any of the lotto messages before until I was having a conversation with one of my friends and it got particularly spammy because Andrew was doing a crazy lotto and I got kinda interested. I asked what the "lotto" was and was told by Jetscat to do /lot which I did and found out how to buy a ticket. I typed /lot buy and got pissed off when it said it had taken 1k away from my account and rage quit only to come back to have a 300k balance... I did /lot winners and saw I had won 220k which made me super happy and I bought another ticket hoping to get lucky and I won AGAIN but this time only a 46k lotto. I bought another ticket and lost.. And then another and lost again and another and I kept noticing that some people were buying more than one ticket which really confused me... So I tried /lot buy 10 and it took 10k out of my balance and I got really anxious because that was a lot of money for me. At the end @rabitworm sniped 50 tickets and I lost which made me really mad cuz I thought it was super uncool to drop that many tickets at the very end:p so the next lotto I dropped 200 tickets at 4 seconds and eliteshadow0000 and Giant_leader both sniped 100 and I won 430k which gave me a bal of over 500k which I lost the next lotto.
The next time I had 500k I was smarter and I bought tycoon before i could waste it. I bought tycoon on the same day as 7amoodw :)
At this point I was doing pretty well and had started saving for my first melon sword. I bought nether stars any time I had any money and stored them in my enderchest. I had saved up 850 when I had to take a 2 week vacation and came back to find that my enderchest had been erased....I redoubled my efforts and started earning money like crazy. Soon I had a melon sword and soon after I won a 800k lotto and bought 2 more melon swords. Then I saved and saved until I had 530k and I bought an eff7 pick. I thought I was doing pretty damn good until I lost my eff7 pick which I had purchased from TomKellyCreeper while mining:( and the vary same day I was scammed by two residents I had loaned 2 of my melon swords to leaving me with one melon sword which I was sharing with my cousin golem645
Two days later I realized my cousin had been banned and had taken my melon sword with me:( and a day later I went to collect some loans that we're due and realized I had been scammed yet again leaving me with nothing:[
I was getting ready to give away all my stuff and quit for ever when I met 2 of the most amazing members of ecc who offered to help me recover:) these two people were @solicedevotio and xpurexcorex <333 they along with over 40 other kind people picked me off the ground, dusted me off and got me going again with donations that totaled well over 250k. This gave me new hope and like always I redoubled my efforts and in 3 weeks I was sitting on $1,300,000 ecd! I realized I could buy myself ecoleader and filed my application which was handled by zardgyer and I became something like the twenty second ecoleader of all time. With the remaining 300k I played lotto and lost 200k to a builder who one ticketed me and in frustration I put in my last 100k and won 522k! I stopped while I was ahead and bought a melon sword.
After that point my ecc life has been a tangled mess of making millions of dollars and loosing it to the dreaded beckoning of lotto.
And so that's the story of how little nooby kcon went from farming dirt, to one of the richest players on ecc, to being poor once again, and getting back on my feet with help from many friends<3 and so I would like to say thank you to the ecc community for a great 2 and a half years!
