Just because the EXP price is low doesn't mean the market is dead. EXP is still trading, and that's why it's alive.

teofilovic BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️Not exactly. Let's take netherstars.
If the price of netherstars dropped to $200 but hundreds of them were trading every hour, the market would be very much alive.
If the price were to rise to $1000, but no one sold or traded them, then the market would be dead because none of them are selling at all.-

UnitedStates2 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Gameplay Architect Premium UpgradeThat statement flaws the basic principles of economics.
If nobody was buying Nether Stars, the price would naturally drop. Having the price rise would make no sense as no one is buying/selling them - Who would try to sell something for a higher price when no one is buying them in the first place? It makes no logical sense. The logical solution would be to offer the nether stars for a lower price, which is what people will do. That's supply and demand - Economics 101. -

The thing is, there's a lot of EXP in the eco, which means it's selling at a lower price. The market isn't dead, it's very well alive. The fact that it's still selling is important, not the fact that the price is dropping.
-
UnitedStates2 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Gameplay Architect Premium UpgradeYou're missing the point - Sure, everything still has "value" - A market cannot truly be "dead" unless there's something that's totally valueless, which there is not; But that's not the point. The point is, there's too little demand for EXP relative to supply, thus bringing the price down. The amount of excess EXP is so high that there really isn't a market, really, for it. The market is dying and it's quite hard to deny it. The price of EXP is at all-time lows and it can't get much lower.

Turt201444444444 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️"Dying" means that it will soon have absolutely no demand whatsoever, this will not be the case ever as nothing, in your words, can ever be "totally valueless". Just saying it's alive and well, it's just that the cost is low due to low demand. That's very simple economics.
-
UnitedStates2 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Gameplay Architect Premium UpgradeNo market can literally "die", yeah - But we're not talking about literals here. Anyone who'd take such a statement that the market for a block is "dead" literally is quite stupid. People say things like "X market is pretty much dead right now" - These AREN'T supposed to be taken literally. It just means that the market simply lost it's traction. When referring to markets, "dying" and "dead" shouldn't be taken as literals.
There's still demand, but not enough relative to the immense supply of EXP - The market lost it's traction.-

"dying" or "dead" doesn't mean nobody trades any more. It simply means the value of the market dropped below a point where it's not even worth it to gather XP outside of mining/fishing any more. (XP is not the main source of income for mining or fishing.) 2 years ago people would use spawners to get XP, because it was a valid way of making money. Now spawners are worthless because XP is worthless. The market's dying. Sure, it won't ever completely die, nothing will. But that doesn't mean it's not dying.

+1 we should nerf mining, but lower the price of lapis instead. Right now I think they are 3.75 a piece. And you can easily get 16-20 a block with fort 3. And lapis was made far more common in I think it was 1.8 as it became necessary for vanilla enchanting. All of this adds up to a ton of money being printed to the economy.

New Rising/Legacy Spawns- +1 Please, it's a mess... clean it up... don't make the color scheme so glaring.
Simplify the Tutorial - +1cause I think this is being worked on!
Town Biome Change Application- +10 MILLION. PLEASE.
Have Water and Teleport Features as Resident+ Perks - +1 Supposedly happening... but lel
Abolish Nether Star Server Price - Enh, on the fence... the chance to screw up is vital in an economy... players don't need all the nstars.
Add an EXP Shop (Like the Nether Star Shop) - So on board +1 -
Vintage_Gamer BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Premium UpgradeI could not agree more. I hate the fact the two spawn areas are the same. It would be good to have a replica of the original spawn that we had a few years ago at Legacy, and keep the new one at rising. I would like to see something like that. +1
The tutorial is way to long. If I was a player, I would definitely not read it. It should be simplistic and give the key points as to what the player should know. +1
This doesn't really affect me, but I see the benefits. +1
Let me just say that shop gives me a headache... +1
I think this would encourage more users to stay and work towards Resident. Perhaps allowing Teleport as a Mayor perk and water as resident. If a mayor has teleport they can TP people to their town etc. +1 (ish)
I've always wanted to see this. It also stops new players from selling them and basically being ripped off when they can get much more from the player market. +1 -
Vintage_Gamer BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Premium UpgradeThe staff have been working on a new Tutorial area. Its in the market somewhere - If you fly around you will find it.
