In the last half year there have been only around 20 additional town purchases. This clearly shows that people aren't willing to dish out 220-400k for a town and would much rather buy some resident mayor in exchange for their town. This, however, comes with some downsides considering there isn't an official way to transfer towns.
This is why I suggest lowering all the additional town prices t0 $180,000. This way people are more likely to purchase them due to the lower cost. In the end this should increase the amount of additional towns bought. Even if only a little.

Official Town Transfer Application ^
I personally dont think dropping the price 50k will make much difference to the players who are buying the resident towns, as they are still cheaper. -

Anyway. the main problem is still the price. And yes, it won't make much of a difference to people buying resident towns. But in my own case I have like 6 or 7 towns. And if I were to purchase another it would cost me 400k. And I personally want to avoid buying someone else's town, because I don't like having to put faith in a user I'm most likely not familiar with. It's like picking a stranger off the street, giving him $500 and asking him to buy you a computer. Now, on ECC this is somewhat regulated. But I'm still not comfortable with it. I'd much rather pay like 200k to get a new town instead.-

I am all for this suggestion and would love to receive the refund for all the additional towns I purchased! I would actually even think that credit for other towns for me to purchase would be acceptable.

I'll still just pay a resident 85k for the town, if anything the price should be brought to 150k.

I agree we already have to many towns its like impossible to sell plots if the price goes down there will be more towns but not really sure how to fix this lol.

Most people would still buy resident towns... instead maybe make towns cost 150k for additional town 3 and increase by 40k each time after? 150k, 190k, 230k, 270k, 310k, and then 350k for your 8th town. Instead of 400k for each town from #6 - #24, it would be 350k for each town.

No, there is already too much land why make it cheaper -1. Less town applications is good it means less excessive land.

Like Admiral an Wolf,
I dont mind this as long as i get a refund of the Additional towns i've already paid for at the current price.
But the fact that everyone might be like this, i could see there being millions of backpayements to people :p
Sure you dont have to give refunds... -

(but then suddenly everyone would want refunds and boom, millions added back into the economy)-

The thing is, resident towns are absolutely pointless. If they arent made by your will and by you, they arent good! So resident towns aint a choice.
