I am so incredibly grateful for everything I currently have, so I asked for some pretty unconventional gifts this year!

Polo Shirts: Being in college now, I have realized that you can never have enough nice dress/polo shirts for many different occasions (parties, date functions, simple outings, class etc.) and they go with pretty much any pants so why not! They are also great for posting pictures in on social media. This is my favorite shirt I got today from my favorite store, Vineyard Vines

Jigsaw Puzzle: I love to solve puzzles of all sorts and they are a stress reliever for me. It helps me clear my head when I need a break from studying for tests and whatnot. I am currently a Freshman at the University of Florida and have so much Gator apparel, what a better way to add to my collection than my very own jigsaw puzzle of my school's football stadium! Go Gators!!

 

This stash is just...me :laugh::laugh::laugh: Aside from being Kiwi ig, my irl bestie and my children call me Platypus ;) So I have an extensive collection of those...the brown one is My Blingpus and he apparently has a new girlfriend! I FINALLY have a pair of slippers that are PERFECT (I hate bulky ones). I've loved Stitch since it first came out (I went to see it in theaters for my birthday). The slime amigurumi was made for me by Crow_feather. Harry Potter and Legos? PERFECT MATCH! Cute earrings? EEP! Dave Matthews CD? Well, I knew that was coming, I ordered if for myself...and finally, SAILOR MOON! I've watched it since the 80's. This is the first time I've ever had a Sailor Moon shirt. It's been an awesome day, I love my children and hubby ;) (I also had oodles and oodles of towels for Christmas that was put in the washer 2 minutes before this was set)

The Milky Way Midnight bar needs no explanation.

The box of 9 coffee's are from my parents, the flavours are (Vanilla, Hazelnut, Original, Mocha, Caramel (Already drunk that!), Latte, Ginger, Sumiyaki and Cappuccino! These were a special present because I am an avid coffee drinker and I love to spend time with family and friends over a coffee. But I don't normally have the time due to other commitments like education so they bought me this so I can have one at home when people visit!

The checkered/tartan at the back is probably the most emotional present I have ever received. That is a dressing gown which my parents bought me, and my granddad used to have the same one, or very similar, so they hunted for it this Christmas as I have been missing him, and his dressing gown was donated a while back without realising I wanted it, so to my suprise, I opened this and it bought back so many memories. He always used to wear it, and now I can feel closer to him.

I've had an amazing Christmas this year and I hope everyone else has too! <3

As cheesy as it may sound, my dad is my greatest gift this year, but I have my reasons.

For those of you who didn't hear, last Friday my dad had a heart attack that fully blocked his main artery. Thank God we took him to the hospital when we did because if we took him even a few hours later, he would have been dead.

Yesterday (Christmas Eve), he was released from the hospital because of his amazing recovery, which was a day earlier than anyone anticipated.

Just the fact that he can be here with us to spend the Holidays is the greatest gift this year!

(My dad is the one in jeans, my grandfather (his dad) is the other person)

My favorite gifts this year:

New headphones! My old ones lasted 7 years, but they're super worn out and the sound quality is down



New feety pajamas, my weakness ;-; they're so soft!!!

This is my favorite book/series ever as of right now because Rick Riordan was the first author to get me into reading long chapter books and sparked my love for greek/egyptian mythology. His characters are so realistic and fleshed out, and I just love his writing style. If you haven't read a book from him, or are looking for a good read, I highly recommend giving the Percy Jackson series a try :)

 

My absolute favorite book is the original Fallout: Equestria by Kkat. It follows the story of Littlepip, a small unicorn from Stable 02, who leaves the stable in search of her friend, Velvet Remedy. There are many more aspects to the plot that have Littlepip and friends save the Equestrian Wasteland not once, but a dozen times, but I don't want to spoil anything in case someone wants to read it ;).

This book does translate into my ECC life as my profile picture is of Littlepip, my rank title is "Littlepip Moderator" in addition to "Fallout: Equestria," and I have plans of building the Equestrian Wasteland in ECC one day.

Unfortunately, I left both my copies of the original story (Print Edition 1 and Print Edition 3) at my college home at UIUC, but I did bring my copies of the other side stories, which take place in the same universe, but follow a different character. In order from left to right:

- Fallout Equestria: Duck and Cover by HahaTimeForPonies (aka CaptainHoes)
- Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons, Book 2 of 5: Blood and Stars by Somber
- Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons, Book 3 of 5: Second Chances by Somber

I haven't read PH Book 3 or Duck and Cover yet as I am working on PH Book 2, but I am looking forward to reading them.

Fun fact: this is also @VelvetRemedy ‘s favorite book too!

Also sorry for the long post, I’m just a huge fan of this series and can talk about it for hours!

 

So Half Blood Prince probably isn't my favorite individual book, but its more representative of the entire Harry Potter series, I have re-read all the books several times now and enjoy watching the movies whenever they are on TV (which seems like all the time). I first read the books when I was a kid and instantly fell in love with them, I remember when the last books of the series came out my dad would arrange to have it arrive at the house on the release date and I would open the box as soon as it arrived and start reading as soon as possible, I think I finished reading Deathly Hallows within 48 hours of receiving it. I just loved the complexity of the Harry Potter universe and how the different characters act and interact with each other, I always like talking with other people about what they thought about events in the book and their interpretations of different characters' actions.

Club Penguin - Secret Agent Handbook

This book holds precious top secret info to being a part of Club Penguin's Penguin Secret Agency, which has since shut down after a popcorn accident which blew up the headquarters. PSA merged with the EPF after this accident happened. This book contains confidential missions and files on many people such as Herbert P. Bear and Klutzy the Crab. If you weren't a PSA agent back in 2007 Club penguin, you weren't cool.
