I say no because users could charge enormous amounts of money to sell things like stone or wood, and this is especially critical to me because, as a higher up in Atlantis, I am helping the town undergoing a complete redo, underwater. Also, as we are underwater, we want to make huge walls alongs the sides of the town made of stone and glass, so it would be insanely hard to get the amount of items in that mass.

@Wolvie: That is true for teleport commands, but not setting home. Everyone can sethome, so it would be pointless to open and close the shop, when everyone could, in theory, have their home set in there. -

I don't think it will happen, however, because it still is a lot of strain on Andrew to be opening and closing them, as well as checking for people teleporting in there. -

Things like netherbrick, stonebrick, glowstone, mossycobble, and all unobtainable blocks would be a pain.
I myself use netherbrick, stonebrick, glowstone and mossycobblestone a lot and the amount I use exceeds 2500 and everything people could provide by far.
My suggestion is just keeping the store the way it is. -

Rezonl lets give Celestia as an example.
I need 1,500,000 Stone.
if I would get 10,000 per week it would take 150 weeks or 3 years.
even if I were to get a lot from otherplayers it would still take me 3-6 months to get all the materials.
right now I could get it in 1 week if I had to. -
If the store were to open once a week, only common blocks could really have a limit. Nether blocks, Stronghold blocks, etc would need to be unlimited.
With our amount of players, putting a limit on any block would be a pain in the ass. Andrew would have to replace every sign, every week... That is a lot of signs. Limit would have to be well over 50k, too, with our mass amount of players.
Would be "unfair" to those in other timezones if it only opened once a week. Andrew can't be in every timezone at once. -

I have an idea.
How about making Spawn Trade Shop owners the ONLY ones allowed to buy from the server store. That way all of the spawn shops could sell for slightly over what they buy in bulk from the server. This would hopefully keep supply steady for everyone since making a tiny bit of profit off each stack of dirt/cobblestone/etc., would make it worthwhile for spawn shop owners to keep everything in stock.
Maybe this would also be some extra incentive to open up a spawn trade shop, hopefully filling up the large amount of empty spaces we have now.
What are you're thoughts on that? -
