Well mine seems to be working normally. I can't really notice anything different.
-
I am having the same problem, I messaged zard about it and he told me that cook pots were currently not working.

I am not having the problem, but a lot of people seem to have this problem so it's not a coincidence.
me4502 Any idea what the problem is? -

I observed this happening the other day with someones cooking pot. The pot was cooking horribly slow 1 thing a minute. I went away to my own cooker and was able to cook a stack of netherrack and come back and only a piece or two had been done. After we removed everything from the cooker, stood about for 5 minutes talking we then turned our attention back to the cooker and it worked as per normal. Why it didn't work and then decided to work was unknown although there was lag for awhile when I first arrived and none when the pot started working.

You can make it cook a lil bit faster by adding another sign, but it's still really slow..

I'll go ahead and test a few more things.

Well here's an interesting twist.
One of mine cooks moderately slow. It lags behind here and there ultimately causing a reduced cooking time.
The others of mine cook at the normal rate. The strange thing about all of them is that they don't use any of the stored fuel. -
I think that this is a feature to the pot: I have noticed that when I put something into the pot, is starts out slow. But once I add more and more fuel, it cooks faster and faster.

I used to cook my cobble, the pot would run out of fuel but keep going till the middle number turns to 0.

No when I reaches zero, though that may have changed now, I haven't used my cooking pot cause it doesn't work anymore.

That was actually intended behaviour, I'd be interested to see one which still went at full speed.
But due to popular demand, I've added an option to make them go at super speed again.
