The argument is that it takes money out
of the economy for the people who are at that rank and want to spend money on things to lower inflation.

 

That's not a compelling argument. A new $300MM tool-rank hybrid is out, and it looks like the ECD->USD value has still only gone up.
People aren't going to spend so much money that it affects inflation on a rank that does nothing.

 

Hey @Nicit6 , a couple of things that were left out in this discussion and the initial suggestion.

Last night, EcoLegend YandereDevil just kinda casually mentioned that we should have a new rank beyond EcoLegend for people to grind for, since it's pretty easy to get these days. So HyruleanHero mentioned that we could have a rank attached to the Mythic sword, similar to the Mythic rank on forums, and we began discussing different colors that we could add. BottsBoy and HyruleanHero ended up coming up with the color that's there in the initial suggestion, and he also encouraged either me or BottsBoy to suggest it on the forums.

So basically,
(1) this was suggested because of an ecolegend
(2) this was meant to be an attachment to the Mythic sword/forum rank but that got somewhat lost in the discussion I guess
(3) this just popped up because of a random discussion last night, and us initial proprietors (including me) probably should've checked before hand to see if this had been suggested before.

I'm just leaving this comment here because it seems like you all are missing the spirit of this individual suggestion.

We didn't mean any harm, we just thought a new rank would be cool. :)

 

The rank could give another prestige +5 and a town app like ecolegend and people spent 5mill on that when inflation wasn’t happening

 

Smh everyone ignoring the idea of 4x4 town claims

 

Because everyone just wants to make the suggestion on a suggestion that's been suggested before but actually don't want to put more then 3 seconds into actually making it a compelling idea and one that might actually get accepted.

I 100% agree with this statement. I know personally, I would be more apt to agree with suggestions if I see logic and time spent thinking on how it can help ECC and integrate well with our custom code

 

Yeah I’m a huge fan of logic

 

It would help ecc by getting money out of the economy and considering the current exhorbant inflation of being able to make over 10mil a day I'd say that it is very much needed

I don't think that there should be an in-game rank tied to the Mythic Sword. I don't think it will cause more people to buy the Mythic Sword.

The point wasn't to get more people to buy the mythic sword, it was really just asking to get the mythic forum rank to also be an in game thing

After all this I really don't think andrew is going to even consider this

If you are going to suggest a new rank, make a compelling suggestion that isn't just "I want a new rank" (that I have no interest in buying/can't afford anyways) -- Describe proposed benefits/perks that'd get people to purchase it, give other details, etc.

Closing up this discussion because it isn't going anywhere, nor do we have any interest in adding a brand new rank at this moment.
