I personally hate the concept of the mining world "chest find".

It gives people with fly plus a massive advantage over those who do not.

Would much rather have an event that gave magic tools out that didn't depend on features (i.e. magic PvP item given in a PvP event, etc..)

 

-1 If you do a giveaway at least make it fair

 

-1 make a fair raffle, not a chest finding. Or add the tools in official server events as a price, to example a spontaneos spleef.

I'm not aware of any widely used or fair pvp technique that requires forking over a significant amount of cash to a server.

So is a pvp event where one person has the adgvantage due to experience. same shit. there is some type of advantage with any event imo. Build events? people that build have the advantage. I dont see people complaining about those going on.

I dont see the difference. An advantage is an advantage.

 

Not all advantages are equal, for example, in a hypothetical event, giving players the ability to /ban other users would be different in quality then giving some players an advantage such as using fly or tp++. Some advantages are different then others.

Earning USD irl should not be a requirement to participate in a giveaway.

 

Id see if you could ONLY spend usd, but you can get features with ECD aswell.

 

Then I would say that restricting a giveaway to the rich ingame hilariously counterproductive
