In Game Name: JdawgerWhat part of EcoCityCraft is this suggestion for: All Main ServersShort title for your suggestion: Feature TrialsWhat are you suggesting: A small trial period (no more than 24hrs, but maybe two hours) for features so people can try features before they buy them. The features I thought of right away for a trial would be the ExtCommands and ExtCreations trees, but we can add feed, the TP tree, and /fly. Obviously, it would be a one-time thing per account. Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?: https://ecocitycraft.com/forum/thre...estion-feature-transfers.210858/#post-1116036 Based off this suggestion that was posted, someone wasn't happy with the feature. I don't know if they didn't read the wiki or what, but that got me thinking that there must be people who had similar experiences. Trial periods might help reduce that.Other information: Plugin or custom addition: One suggestion per form: I Understand.
+1 but only if those "trial features" have like a 1 month cd at least, and obviously nothing like allowing the Wizards or Smithmasters.
+1 but i don’t think this would be implemented now, for the fact that the development is swamped with getting ecc 2.0 all ready. otherwise +1
-1 only because I dont see an efficient way of enforcing it. And this could cause a lot of problems especially with pyro and fly, if the feature trial deactivates when you are flying around or chilling in lava then this could cause problems. If anything I think it should maybe have a 1 minute and 10 second warning that the trial is ending, although as speed said there is a very minimal chance andrew is going to accept this currently with all of the prep for ecc 2.0 and everythinf.
one person being unhappy with a feature purchase doesn't feel like it merits a project of this scale. Especially given all the issues pointed out above with temporary access to a bunch of different features.
I agree one person doesn’t merit a change. However, this isn’t the first person who “complained” that a feature wasn’t what they thought (although it is the first person to truly be mad about it to my knowledge).
Far too many complications, and far too big of a project for me to bother with for something that quite frankly has never caused me problems in my ten years here.
