Formatting Nicknames
Nicknames are alternate names that ECC players can give to their users. These names replace your username in chat before your message and can only be used by players who have it as a donation perk.

Formatting Nicknames(top)

Depending on your donation features, you can change the appearance of your nickname in numerous ways.

Color(top)

You can change the color of your nickname and you are not restricted to using only one color code. To use color in your nickname, use the formatting code of &<color-code> in your nickname. Anything to the left of the first color code (including the ** prefix, which is applied to all nicknames) will have your rank's default name color.

The following colors can be used for color codes in nicknames:

&0 Black
&1 Dark Blue
&2 Dark Green
&5 Dark Purple
&6 Gold
&7 Gray
&8 Dark Gray
&a Green
&b Aqua
&d Light Purple (Pink)
&e Yellow
&f White

The following colors cannot be used for color codes in nicknames:

&3 Dark Aqua
&4 Dark Red
&9 Blue
&c Red

For example, using the command '/nick &2hello' will result in:

You can have more than one color in your nickname.
Using the command '/nick &bhello&5there' will result in:

Using /help colors in-game will display a list of applicable color codes.

Formatting(top)

You can also combine color codes with various formatting styles for your nickname.

The following formatting styles can be used in your nickname:
&b Bold
&o Italic
&m Strikethrough
&n Underlined

The following formatting styles cannot be used in your nickname:
&k Magic
&r Reset

For example, using the command '/nick &e&mstrike' will result in:

You can use more than one formatting code in your nickname.
For example, using the command '/nick &b&lbold&b&oitalic' will result in:

Inserting any new color code will get rid of any previous formatting.
For example, using the command '/nick &b&lisbold&5isnot' will result in:

To prevent this, insert the formatting code again after you choose a new color code.
For example, using the command '/nick &b&lisbold&5&lstill' will result in:

Conclusion(top)

Nicknames allow you to express your personality or creativity through your name in chat. Thus, it is encouraged that you take the time to find your perfect nickname!
