Formatting Nicknames
Nicknames are alternate names that ECC players can give to their users. These names replace your username in chat before your message and can only be used by players who have it has a donation perk.


Command Usage(top)

To give yourself a nickname, use the following command.
  • /nick <nickname>
To remove your nickname, use the following command.
  • /nick off

Formatting Nicknames(top)

Depending on your donation features, you can change the appearance of your nickname in numerous ways.

Color(top)

You can change the color of your nickname. You are not restricted to using one color. To use color in your nickname, type use the formatting code of &<color-code> before your nickname.

The following colors can be used for color codes in nicknames:
&0 Black
&1 Dark Blue
&2 Dark Green
&5 Purple
&6 Gold
&7 Gray
&8 Dark Gray
&a Light Green
&b Light Blue
&d Pink
&e Yellow
&f White

The following colors cannot be used for color codes in nicknames:
&3 Aqua
&4 Dark Red
&9 Indigo
&c Red


For example, using the command '/nick &2hello' will result in:
[​IMG]

You can have more than one color in your nickname.
Using the command '/nick &bhello&5there' will result in:
[​IMG]

Using /help colors in-game will display a list of applicable color codes.

You can also combine color codes with various formatting styles for your nickname.

The following formatting styles can be used in your nickname:
&b Bold
&o Italic
&m Strike-through
&n Underlined

The following formatting styles cannot be used in your nickname:
&k Magic

For example, using the command '/nick &e&mstrike' will result in:
[​IMG]

You can use more than one formatting code in your nickname.
For example, using the command '/nick &b&lbold&b&oitalic' will result in:
[​IMG]

Inserting any new color code will get rid of any previous formatting.
For example, using the command '/nick &b&lisbold&5isnot' will result in:
[​IMG]

To prevent this, insert the formatting code again after you choose a new color code.
For example, using the command '/nick &b&lisbold&5&lstill' will result in:
[​IMG]
