ExtCreations Signs Tutorial

This is the ExtCreations sign tutorial page. If you have the feature then you will be able to create Lifts, Doors, Gates and Bridges.If you have the (Main) ExtCreationsPlus3 feature then you will be able to create Minecart Elevators.
Simply view the mechanic you wish to work with to learn how to create it as well as get information about various quirks and mechanics of it.
Lift Signs(top)
Teleport up and down to different floors and levels along the y-axis. Your lift signs must be on the same x and z coordinate as its arrival pair.
All Lift signs need to be in pairs.
First Sign:
You will use [Lift Up] or [Lift Down]
You can also name each sign to give the destination a name. This name will go on the first line.
Example:
This will pop "First Floor" into your chat whenever you arrive at this sign.
Second Sign:
You have two options for your second sign of your Lift pair.
You can either create an arrival sign that will only let you arrive at the sign and not head back, or create a sign in which you can navigate back and forth between each sign.
If you wish to do a to/from sign, simply repeat the above steps for which ever direction you wish to travel with the second sign.
Arrival Only:
You will use [Lift]
All Lift signs need to be in pairs.
First Sign:
You will use [Lift Up] or [Lift Down]
- First Line: Blank
- Second Line: [Lift Up] or [Lift Down]
- Third Line: Blank
- Fourth Line: Blank

Things to Note:- Lift Signs must be in the same column to operate correctly
- Example:
- Your arrival point must be on a solid block, and it will attempt to place you directly above or below where you are standing when you interact with a lift.
- If you stand 3 blocks from the sign and interact, it will attempt to place you at the destination also 3 blocks in front of the sign (same x and z).
- You can use the third and fourth lines of the sign to include information to a user about the destination, these lines will not impact the function of the lift.
- Lift Signs must be in the same column to operate correctly
Doors(top)
Create a door out of an acceptable material that can be opened by interacting with the sign or a redstone signal.
All Door signs need to be in pairs.
Door structures require a row of the material the door will be made of. There must be a row on top of and below each sign.

Restocking the sign:
Door signs once made will accept the material of the door in either sign. You simply need to slowly right-click the Door sign with the door material until you have enough to fill the door.
Your other option is to build the door before you make the door mechanic. Once activated the door will activate and load itself with the placed blocks to stock the sign.
Redstone Activation:
Doors will accept redstone signals to activate. However they are very specific in where they will accept a signal.
Redstone signals must power to the front or one of the sides of a door sign to activate the door. The back of a sign will not accept a redstone signal.

Things to note:

Gates(top)
Create a gate out of an acceptable material that can be opened by interacting with the sign or a redstone signal.
Gate structures require a row of the material the gate will be made of as well as a "frame". The frame can be any material but the gate will only accept certain materials - those are listed below.

You will use [Gate]

Gate signs once made will accept the material of the gate in the sign. You simply need to slowly right-click the Gate sign with the gate material until you have enough to fill the gate.
Your other option is to build the gate before you make the gate mechanic. Once activated the gate will activate and load itself with the placed blocks to stock the sign.

- A Gate sign can be placed anywhere on the frame, but it must find an acceptable gate material to work within 3 blocks of the gate sign.

Gate signs once made will accept the material of the gate in the sign. You simply need to slowly right-click the Gate sign with the gate material until you have enough to fill the gate.
Your other option is to build the gate before you make the gate mechanic. Once activated the gate will activate and load itself with the placed blocks to stock the sign.

Minecart Lifts(top)
