EcoCityCraft Revenue Service Records - Historical

The EcoCityCraft Revenue Service has been introduced in March of 2022 and marks the beginning of the ECC 3.0 Era, the Era of the Tax Man!
ERS cuts on ECC aim to target removing and spreading out wealth that simply sits in the wealthy and inactive accounts. The Tax Man's goal is to encourage users to get active, be involved in the community and the game or be subject to the regular cuts and watch their wealth trickle away while being inactive!

Information(top)

ERS collections are taken out at random times throughout the year.

• Once an ERS cut has occurred you have a GUARENTEED 30-day safety period in which you can be absolutely sure that cuts will not happen.

After this 30 day safe period you can bet ERSReserve is coming but you don't know when! It is your responsibility to prepare accordingly!

ERS Cut Brackets(top)

Brackets are applied to both in-game balances and forum balances. In-game balances will be cut twice as much.
The current Cut Brackets are as such:

Forum-Bank ERS Cut Brackets:
$10,000,000+ = 10% tax
$5,000,000+ = 7.5% tax
$2,500,000+ = 5% tax
$1,000,000+ = 2.5% tax
$500,000+ = 1% tax

In-Game ERS Cut Brackets:
$10,000,000+ = 20% tax
$5,000,000+ = 15% tax
$2,500,000+ = 10% tax
$1,000,000+ = 5% tax
$500,000+ = 2% tax

The ERS collection happens automatically and hits both your forum and in-game balance when it is done. It is up to you as a participant of the EcoCityCraft economy to prepare yourself for the cut day!

ERS Evasion(top)

Evasion of cuts is allowed and encouraged with some limitations.

• You may not evade cuts by use of multiple accounts (alts, family, friends or otherwise) to move your money around in order to evade cuts. If you are caught doing this the consequences are severe.

You are encouraged to buy up assets, purchase ranks, apply for applications or otherwise store your money in anything other than EcoDollars to evade ERS.
Keep in mind that we may mitigate some methods of cut evasion if we feel it is necessary, you however will not be banned for any methods used except for the aforementioned method.

Transparency(top)

EcoCityCraft offers full transparency regarding ERS Cuts.
Every ERS collection day you can expect;

• A Discord news post announcing that an ERS cut have been collected.
• A post on the ERSReserve profile indicating that cuts have been collected.
• An itemized report added to this wiki page for all to view.
  • Reports will show the total amount in cuts collected, who was hit and how much they paid in cuts.

The ERS Reserve:
The ERSReserve account is where the cuts will go once collected.

• This forum account balance is public, everyone may see how much is currently in the account.

Use of ERS Cuts(top)

Administration has quite a few ideas on what we may utilize these cuts for. There is plenty of opportunity to return some of this wealth back to the community.
You may find that we may use this money to pay for things such as server builds, community content submitted for ECC as a whole, as well as funding prizes for events and other competitions.
If any money is taken from the ERSReserve account it will also be done with full transparency, complete with news posts and an updated record on this wiki page.
