I was wondering if anyone knew if the number of views on thread is the number of times it has been accessed by different people or if it's just a total number of times people have accessed including multiple accesses. If you know please leave the answer in the comments below.

Based on observations over time, each person adds one view, until a timer has reset (unknown time). For example, I just viewed, left, viewed, left, and viewed this thread, and the Views didn't change. However, if I come back in a few hours or tomorrow, me viewing it again will add another view.
Likely, it is a combination of user name, IP, and a wait time.
