First and foremost, I wish you the best moving forward! I’ve seen you on ECC ever since you joined in 2013. You’ve always been a shining light in this community and quite a help to me and others throughout your tenured 10+ years! The reason am I writing you is I joined in 2012 as one of the first people to join, promote, and grind this amazing server. I have taken sporadic breaks at times but this is the Minecraft server I call home. I rejoined ECC a couple hours before you made this post after a couple year break, which is crazy timing (I was even talking to Hyru about OGs I remember in chat, and you were one of them haha). I would absolutely love to carry on your legacy and be able to have money, property, and all of the other assets I would acquire with what you’re offering as a prize. Currently I’ve already applied and gotten resident rank, and when I log on today I will map out a town and apply for Mayor. I am super excited to be on the ECC grind again! If I were to be so lucky to win, I think it would be fitting that a fellow OG player that has history and years of play time would be able to carry on your legacy with the upmost honor and appreciation. Why I think I should be considered to win is this. I am a very nice person who loves to help others. I’ve grown a lot as a person since I first started in 2012, so I could really find amazing ways to continue on and put your towns, tools, money to good use. It’s up to you to decide whether or not I deserve this. Like I said I’m sure other people who have played a lot within the past few years have a better relationship with you and are currently more established, but I am super excited to get on, build up my wealth, create amazing towns and friendships. This server means a lot to me and I’ve spent a lot of my time and money like many others. But the people is what makes everyone stay. Good luck on your future endeavors Oni! If I am selected, I would honestly sell it. However, the money received from sale would be reinvested into the community (minus 10% to cover the taxes). I would use this money to beef up prize pools of some server events (including but not limited to Mini-Golf, Pokemon Hunt/Battle, Spleef, Etc), or possibly even sponsor my own tournament of some kind (with land owner approval, naturally.) In the spirit of full transparency, I would be willing to keep a public record (google sheet) tracking exactly how the money was spent/invested. I think it's really cool of you to do something like this, to give something of great importance back to the community before heading out. It appears to be a much more mature way to depart, rather than some I have seen in the past. Even if I am not selected, I fully appreciate the gesture of this thread.

I'm really going to miss you Oni. While I'm still going to apply below, I just want to say quickly that you shouldn't give everything away, just in case. Tell you what? If you choose me as the winner, I will leave you as an owner of all your towns, that way if you do decide to come back on a more regular basis, you at least have a physical place to come back to. I do wish you the best of luck and hope to see you again; it's been a good time getting to know you on ECC and even our time on staff together. We kicked ass on staff!

For me, writing down paragraphs after paragraph about how I "deserve" this feels half-hearted and kind of entitled. I don't deserve to win as much as everyone else who applies.

All I'm going to say quickly is where all these items will go if you choose me: Towns will continue to operate (and like I said, I'll keep you as an owner so you have a place to come back to), money will go to ECCMuseum, and the rest I'm unsure at this time (but might be used for more funds for the museum)

I'm sad to see you go. Especially after I just joined the server. I don't know what to say really. I mainly joined the server temporarily to learn how to get better at building as I'm not that great, but over the last month since joining I have encountered so many kind and generous people like Clarinetphoenix, RB3jr, Pyrotechnic, Hyrule, Kiwi and so on which has changed my plans to help try to get more long term players. Not only do I want to improve my building by learning from others but also help new people by giving them the best hospitality in order to try and get them to want to stay.

Overall, I wish you luck with whatever your choice for your future, but I hope you reconsider your choice of leaving and instead stay and give me some tips on how to improve my builds. If not, please drop by some time chat.

By the way Happy Birthday for the 19th. Mine is 3 days later so I might be a little bias when I say June is the best month.

I really did'nt get to know you, but for the messages on this thread it looks like you are an important part of the community, so I hope you reconsider and dont quit ECC.

If you decide to do it, I don't think someone deserves to win this more than others. So if you decide to choose me I'll distribute your fortune amongs the ones that repplied to this thread

Hi, Wish you all the best in life. I am requesting that you chose me, cjmk75 to be in your will for the following reasons. It is hard for me to obtain towns due to my resident rank. I only have 2 mythic swords currently and still really don't even know how to use them tbh. I have never yet had the chance to own a magic melon, and i think i would someday enjoy using it for melon farming. And finally with your balance I will purchase more inventory for station4. Thanks in advanced for choosing me :)

 

I dont need the money and towns and tools, but i want it, and i wouldnt go so far as to say that I deserve it. But im throwing my hat into the ring to preserve your impact on ECC through maintenance of your towns and tools. Like 10 hours a day aint for me either but at least you can retire peacefully knowing your stuff is being looked after

 

i get how you feel- eventually you gotta move on to a different game or thing, but the friends we make here are lifelong- just ask @jwpwns, @Zedoker, @zjkhan, @TM_iBeast @Lopporit and clar (i value my life so i wont be tagging her)

regardless of what you choose to do, just know there's plenty of us out there who are in the same boat- we may not play ECC, but we will always be ECC members ^.^

onifox_, I barely know you, mainly because i spent much of my time grinding ECD. If I am chosen to continue your legacy I will share the responsibility with Radnika in managing and maintaining your towns. I will continue to welcome and assist new players getting settled as you have done for so long. Regardless of who you choose, your presence will be missed. may your future be blessed, your path bright, but your heart always with us on ECC.

Hello Onifox_, I just want to say that I'm glad that we met on ECC! I remember meeting you last summer, and you have been a very kind player while I was starting out. I'm only a year old on the game, but I do understand your reasoning to depart on ECC. I remember when you set me up with a fishing spot (not sure if it was one of your towns) , and drew me a shiny eevee! I really love pokemon, and I would love to continue that legacy with pixel drawings in your town, as I feel inspired! I will continue to uphold the impact you've made on the server with AusRoona. Good luck on ur next journey, would love to be considered for this been playing a while i recently quit about a year or 2 ago and did a big giveaway myself with everything in my pv and towns all my magic stuff and such, now returning with a empty inventory and balance so this would help a ton, i built warp sanctum if you want to look it was my biggest build and the unfinished farm next to it although sanctum was claimed while i was away but the build is still there
