I currently only have $1000 in my balance.

However, I will work hard over the long weekend and try to put together around $50,000 to donate to the cause!

When I get a chance to catch you in game I would like to donate $40,000 in addition to all of the proceeds from my spawnshop for the next 2 or more weeks. Thank you again for your kindness and compassion.

 

What a shame that such a beautiful town has to be destroyed.
But It is such a wonderful thing that you are doing for the scam victims of willclo @jmichael214, thankyou.

You know i haven't met a true identity of ECC. Well I'm happy to say that this shows why ECC is different than other servers, because we all know each other, and help each other. In a way im glad this happened because it exposes the love in this comunity. I just wanted to thank Phys, Andrew, and Jmichael for the tremendous support, and to all those generous donators. As of right now i have no money but i was so touched by this that all the money i make in the next few weeks will be sent to Jmichael for support. God bless you all and there is no place I' would rather be than ECC.

@jmichael214 pm in game next time we are both online at the same time, i would like to donate some money to this, and also my services to anything involving labour, ie collapsing the town or filing any lwc's that need doing. you know the boring stuff.

also, @andrewkm i highly doubt you'll ok this but i feel the amount of effort and charity @jmichael214 has put into this event he deserves some sort of reward. i would like to suggest offering him a free upgrade from tycoon to eco leader, or creating a new rank called [Eco-Icon] which goes next to his [Tycoon] so show his unbelievable generosity in doing this event totally off his own back!

 

This is an awesome thing you are doing here @jmichael214, and am more than willing to help. I do have a few questions though:
What happens to the funds that go over the estimated 5mil in defaulted funds? (I believe this will be raised and more most likely)
When paid back, will the amounts that are still due (signs in the portal room) be taken into consideration?
Also, many affected players are asking for individual donations to recoup their losses, so will this also be taken into consideration when dispersing the funds?
And finally, when wil appeals, will he still be made to repay the money he owes and where will that money go?
I personally love the idea of the community coming together and helping each other - that is why I play here, however, many events like this in the past have led to undesired results if not thought completely thru.
This had been suggested a while back by some leading members of our community, but was never implemented so I have my concerns with this process.

 

@jmichael214... this is awesome! I'm so glad that someone did this, and I would be more than happy to participate. I'll be kind of inactive the next 3 days, but if I can get on I'll definitely donate some of the money I have. It's the least I can do for so many affected people

 

Thank you for the quick response JM. I guess we will just have to see how the owners decide to handle this.
Andrew making a donation is especially inspiring since he is the one who took a huge loss in real dollars and fees in addition to returning money back to the economy in order to help relieve some of the pain those that were scammed have experienced.
If you need help tearing down, simply leave donation chests somewhere and I will be glad to help you take down and place materials in the chests for you. Just let me know.
If you place a few donation signs around it may be easier than everyone trying to give you the money - and some people would prefer to donate without being known.
