I LOVE ecc b/c I can hang out with people like me, with the same likings of things ex: homestuck, mc, mlp, adventure time and doctor who, hellsing ext. If I am going through a hard time irl I know I can always talk to my internet friends. I <3 you guys!

 

I enjoy the close-knit community as well as the strict enforcement of just, logical rules. I have fun working towards the goals of resident/mayor etc....
It's the opposite of creative mode, which when introduced kind of killed the fun of MC for me. It was total cheater mode. This place is the opposite of it! Its filled with people, more bad than good. I like to be able to work on activities by myself like farming or mining, but I also like to help neighbors/friends with materials or labor when I can.

Its rudimentary but it kind of makes me think of the book Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. Its a little piece of the strip that I can call my own. My own little home in Cyberspace.

I think the best part of it is the oversight. It's such a (relatively) large community but its also has a correspondingly large group of cool minded, responsible moderators. This is a key to keeping a community happy. Clear concise rules, that are followed and enforced quickly and justly.

It gives me something to do other than sitting around eating potato chips watching family guy it makes me want to work but in a semi-fun way that helps me understand how economy works and all the fun people and friends and mods (the rules could be a bit less scrict though) but I love ecc, you just have to be cautious about what you do and if you love the game, then keep doing it.

I had the chance to help out when ECC was still a baby; watch it grow; meet some great people; and learn the 'ways of Minecraft.' ECC was my first server, and the one I've stuck with for over two years (despite large periods of in-game inactivity).

More than anything, though, I love ECC because of the third reason: Meeting some great people.

When I first got Minecraft the very first thing I did was go on ECC. I was a total newb/noob and literally had never played the game before, but now I'm not. xD I wouldn't say I've been loyal to ECC or anything, but it's always here whenever I want to play. :)

 

its the economic feel for me its not to easy

 

I enjoy economics, when I grow up, I want to be a CFO for a company like my father. When I saw the economy, I jumped for joy not thinking that minecraft had even an economy to offer. The community is immaculate, you can't get any better any where else. Also, LOTTO!

I love ecc because it is just like real life but better:) in our amazing server of ecc, you have to work hard to be the best, unlike most games where u can donate a lot of money and not actually have to do any work. Now I'm not saying I havnt donated a lot of money to ecc, but the donations just make some tasks easier. For example extcommands. It cost $100 and you earn very little in game money by "selling erepairs" it is just a convinience

 

I don't know what hellsing is.. but kconahan is right about donation features.
I like ECC, because it is one of the easiest servers to find your way around, the economy is great, and so is the community.
