There are many reasons. Most of the time it is a restart but as ECC is such a large server andrewkm (the owner) has to take it down to carry out regular maintenance and plugin updates. the server should be up soon. Just be patient and do something else for a while. You could play another game, do homework, read a book or do anything else :)
