Builders are griefers unless proven otherwise. If you don't want people to think you are a griefer you would have to become a resident.
Purrguin is right. Almost all griefers on the server are builders. The server isn't attacking builders. It's builders who set that reputation for themselves. Yeah we understand not all builders are like that but we all take a risk adding a potential griefer to our towns. It's like when a builder asks me why nobody offers them things. It's not because we don't like builders. It's that builders aren't a trusted status group. I tell them to get resident rank and people will notice you more and take you seriously. Once again it's not the server attacking builders, it's builders who made that reputation for themselves.
I don' t NOT like builders, it's just one or two had to ruin it all. I think builders have great potential, it's just one builder has to steal, or grief, or do something stupid, and we all assume that EVERY builder is like that. One reason that some places are Rez+ or Mayor+ is mostly for quality. If you have a town full of dirt and wood buildings, it somewhat turns off higher paying residents. I don't have a full town, so I have no experience in this.
almost everyone was once a builder, we have gone through this, (yes Ike I know you were a [Guest] and maybe a few other players) but all "noobs" are treated differently because mayors don't want to get greifed and builders commonly have the least to lose of all the ranks, now I know that not all builders are greifers, but builders also commonly leave the server, I estimate that about 1/5 builders that join stay and are active for more than a month.
lots of builders have no respect for others, and or are little kids that are to dumb to understand. but some are nice, and are trust worthy. :ugeek:
My reason.... No offence builders :/ 1. Was scammed by this builder for 10k.... won`t be getting my money back 2.Griefed by a builder....(Thankfully got rolled back) 3.Builders sometimes won`t let you help then if you give them help... 4.Don`t listen to you much 5.Nothing to lose so a lot of them will spam the local chat with COME TO MY SERVER IP IS mc.notarealserver.com! COME TO MY SERVER IP IS mc.notarealserver.com! COME TO MY SERVER IP IS mc.notarealserver.com! COME TO MY SERVER IP IS mc.notarealserver.com! etc..... (or SELLING DIRT! 10k a stack!....) Sometimes they just get plain annoying :/ Can I have money?, Can I have weps for PvP?, and they just dont stop sometimes!!! I know there are good builders out there but about half of them quit the first day or so :/ Sorry to all builders who find this offensive... but i`d appreciate it if you stopped asking me for PvP stuff..... Occasionally I will give items when i`m rich or happy about something and try to help as much as possible but I can`t give a ton of stuff. I fully agree with this thought.... but some builders may have more money than you would expect, maybe they just don't know how to get resident or don't want to get resident. I wouldn't know why, but I am sure it is true in some cases.
I think with a little direction and a little assistance, we could cut down the amount of builders that grief out of frustration. I have been doing a little something to help builders get their feet on the ground, but I can only do so much. i take them in, give them nice cheap plots, and let them work on their stuff meanwhile giving them the assistance they need to understand how the server works. I have been successful 90% of the time with a small amount of builders griefing my town. Fortunately, I've had a good amount of them become resident and even set goals to become mayors themselves.

Its not hard to become resident. With farming and mining and voting, you should be resident within 10 days.
