I'm kinda looking forward to seeing what's happening. If the upcoming changes are what we all think they are, I think it'll be a good change for sure.

Also, I'm not sure that every mod knows what exactly is going on, and even if they do, it's probably unlikely we'd hear much about the changes until it's nearer to the time they begin to be implemented. I bet there's not many people who understand exactly what's going on, but the few that do are probably andrew, phys, jakey, and the people involved in building the hub. So not, like, every mod.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing more about this, whenever that may be :D

Dunno about this. Its a kinda yes and no for me. I say I am kinda off the idea.

 

I made a thread about this a while back, Andrew even posted and told us information. I was so happy but then tons of people started flaming and got into a huge fight and argument saying "the hub will ruin the server" and stuff. I fear many people will leave due to the hub, even though @andrewkm is clearly smart enough not to screw up the server with the hub.

 

Most of us (mods) don't know exactly what is being added. It's pretty much just sa+, maybe a few ga's. Everyone else will find out soon enough!

 

Maybe they aren't adding something... they're removing something?

A grand plot twist if I've ever seen one...

Very mixed about the hub, very, very mixed...

 

I personally think more new players who come into the server will stay, and I do think some current members will leave and not come back, maybe its the fact the server will change and they like it the way it is and that sucks for them.

I do agree that this new change if done correctly will be a great change for the server, its a needed change to stay competitive with other servers out there.

I am happy that they are doing this, it shows they care about the welfare of this server and are obviously looking towards the future for the server, ECC has been running for a long time and as I see it, it will be around for a good long while. If they didn't care about the server then none of us would be here right now.

As for the staff giving us more info. I personally think its best to leave it be and let them finish what they started. We will find out everything when its up and running smoothly, probably even before that. Us the players pressuring them for more info does nothing beneficial towards their work in my own opinion.

Personally, I have mixed feelings. I want minigames into ECC and a more spread out playerbase, but I really want to keep as many pre-hub elements of ECC as possible. Maybe make a "double hub", with one
accessible side the same old ECC and the other the minigames area...

 

There will be a Global channel that extends to all servers, correct? I don't want this aspect of the community changed in any way.

 

Oh this is a great idea to have a global channel across all servers, I think this is a must.
