They are still taggable, though. Just that you don't receive any suggestion when searching for the user to tag - You have to enter their full name for the tag to work.
To narrow it down to 3 is a bit of an insult. There are many people old and new that have done so much for the community and is known for something. I’ll name who I feel is the most famous and why, but it won’t just be 3. @AdmiralD - Most members now-a-days who rank up get to meet him as he runs a program designed to help new members out by giving them their $15k back once they rank up to Resident (he basically pays to rank most Residents up!). I knew him long before his program’s start. He is such a kind and generous man willing to help out, if he can. I have always looked up to AdmiralD and will always be proud to call him a friend. @Krobkins - This one right here stays behind the scenes a lot. I didn’t even know she existed before Mission started his EccHeadMuseum project, but she took an interest in helping him and this gave me the opportunity to get to know her. Sweetest lady I have ever met! She has a heart the size of Texas, I can remember her and her grandson Digger helping my son buy features when he first started. I admire her so much and always enjoy talking with her. @Mission001 - I know, he is my fiancé, but that’s not why he’s ‘famous’ in my eyes. He has such unique ideas and this style when he builds. Mission always goes big. I get to see a side of him that not many others see, his caring side. Mission tends to be quiet, but always very helpful. The number of times he’s walked people through installing macros or whatever is staggering. He even stepped up and made a music video with a few others for ECC... he actually sang! When he was mod/smod he went above and beyond. He’s such a great guy and I’m glad I get to call him mine! <3 @Imabankthing - Come on, we all have been to /warp colebex for something at one time or another. I hear his name all the time, he’s either making big deals or setting things up that will help other users in the long run. I think he’s actually cornered the market! Lol. Besides having a head for business, he is also a very kind man, specially to me, Mission, and my son. I found a polar bear and Mission suggested we try to walk it to colebex for Imabank... cause we knew he wanted one. It was a long journey, but we made it there in one piece and left it in a gift under Imabank’s tree (it was close to Christmas time). In return, I log on one day with a polar bear waiting for me at my town, he had done the same for me to return the kindness. Also when my son couldn’t find a parrot, Imabank came to the rescue and put a huge he smile on my lil boy’s face. It’s lil things like this that count in my book. Such kindness. @jmichael214 - The expert architect! This fellows builds are legendary... so much so that he got to show them off and build the new spawn (among other areas). I think Jmich’s builds have finally taken over ECC, lol! He’s great to talk to, I love his sarcasm. :3 Another kind member who served on the staff team and continues to do what he can for people in need. Sorry this is a bit long, but I wanted to share why I view these members as ‘famous’. I could put down other people who have done bad things to make a name for themselves, but I don’t feel people like giant leader or willclou deserve the title of famous because they rose to fame by scamming people.
I gotta nominate my irl best friend. I don’t know if you heard of him at all... @oreo1227 ...But he was a great SA who was a kind and just person, not to mention funny and random (And trust me, he is like 10x as funny irl compared to the server)

And has a public Ivory Tower for all to stand on, its got a great view btw! #Wifey4Lifey @Larsphee - Maybe a forgotten member today, but a true great. When you look back, the community wasn't as bad as everyone complained it was in 2015. #ECCsCharlieMcCarthy @jmichael214 - Made one of the most active towns/nations on ECC, oh and that little thing called spawn ain't bad either. #LastGreatCityOnECC? -- These are just my opinions, please don't feel offended

I think everyone knows about @xboyfernz and the things he does being the smartest person alive and all.
Active folks that I see often in chat and are most well known in the 1-2 years I’ve been playing: other than Andrew, nicit, and Jamie whom are the heart of Ecc but active in chat players I’d say @ClarinetPhoenix @Mission001 and @Ladyvamptress @priMELval Etc. etc etc...There really are so many well known people I feel bad for stopping the list...but asked for 3... Others I’ve heard of but don’t see often and have never really talked too @AdmiralD @jmichael214 @Mendiboi @physyy I’m not trying to leave people out...but really hard to think of famous people...there are generations of players...
In such a small and long-lasting community, I'd say about a third of the active players could arguable be considered famous.
