I can make a solid 22k/hour by farming reed. The max I have gotten per hour is 23.6k, but I also was chatting a little.
Someone post a video of how they are making these amounts of money. Speed, technique etc. Personally I think reed is useless but that may just be the way I farm it.
I can make about 18k per hour with melon sword (on melons obviously). No auto clicker. But I do have repair loops and sell loops so it truly is continuous farming
Okay, when I get home today, I'm going to try to run a reed test, for 1 hour, with speed 10 and an autoclicker. I will report back with numbers and take a melon test within the week.
"Which Crop is truly best?" It seems reed farming is the answer if you have the fly perk. Here is some the data I have collected. We all have to start somewhere right. Traditional Wheat farming - 5-6k an hour ( if the farm is big enough to farm for one hour ) Semi-auto wheat farm - 12k -14k Pumpkins /w eff5, ub 3, st 1 - 3-4 k in 15 minutes ( you will need 3-4 axes to complete an hour ) Melons /w diamond sword - 4k an hour /w daxe or dshovel or dpaxe ,any eff ,fort III - 4k hour /w daxe or dshovel or dpaxe any eff , st - 4.25 k hour Semi-auto potato farm - 5-6k an + 4 sets of 30 lvls ( 825 exp) per hour got nerfed Carrots - would be same as potatoes I assume, since they grow the same and the sell for the same price. Semi-auto Coco beans - still building it Netherwart - still building it So if a builder(farmer) asked me what is the best crop I would tell him to buy 2 diamonds and access to a melon farm. And a month ago I would have told you to go potatoes because of the exp you can cook out of it.
How can you have THAT big of a farm if your a builder. And if you make 6k an hr, wouldnt you be resident by now, working torwards mayor?
I would say wheat, because if you have dispensers set up you wait for wheat to grow and just click a button (which one would lock) and go replant it all. one second to hit a button, wait for it to fall in the drop-off zone and pick it all up (if you have a potion of swiftness you get it faster) then go place all seeds and start again! But if you want to go as far as to say which is best overall for things like money earned, or usefulness for hunger, I would go with melons. I don't have a melon sword, but I still have a silk touch pick which works just fine. You forgot to specify HOW the certain crop is the best, its pretty vague. But nice work. +1 from me, hopes this goes far. And by the way, how do you make voting things like up at the top there? I've been trying to figure that out for a while now.
yes I tried it about a month ago, plain diamond sword. I assume you have an eff 5 unbreak axe. I sprint, ( double tap forward button ). and also look back and forth slightly to harvest both rows at the same time. warning can make some people motion sick. it also takes practice
Okay, if I may, I recommend using a Effiency diamond pick/shovel/axe instead of a plain diamond sword on melons, because you can't get any other Effiency sword other than a melon sword, and diamond swords/shovels/axes/picks all break melons at the same speed. Correct me if I'm wrong.
