    I went in the Nether for the 1st time. Mobs were rare as emeralds... I was there for about 45 min until I saw my 1st mob, one lonely Pigman. I am I missing something? I searched the forums but did not find anything.

    Mobs appear in both the mining and nether worlds, but they are very rare . The best way to find lots of mobs is by finding a mob spawner , or buying a tp from somebody. Mobs in the mining world are auto-butchered every 15 minutes or something, but they are therei have found sheep, pigs, chickens , zombies, spiders , and one ender man before. Good luck.
