I think wheat, but personally don't farm those.

I honestly would have to say wheat. Don't quote me but I think wheat takes about 2x longer to grow than carrots or potatoes, so think of this, if carrots and potatoes are $0.50 each, and wheat is $1.25 each, 2 harvests of wheat wouldn't even be as much as one of wheat, so basically this shows how wheat is more profitable.

 

Wheat, carrots and potatoes can be farmed effectively with the Fortune enchant.

With wheat, it will increase the number of seeds harvested, adding to the revenue.

With carrots and potatoes, it will increase the amount harvested, adding to overall revenue.

Fortune 3 on an axe is best for all but a wooden farm building, though a pick will do as well for all non-stone type farms buildings.

 

I will say wheat is more profitable. I own a 30x15 3 floor wheat farm. Every time I harvest it I get around 1.5k. Remember for wheat you can sell the wheats and the seeds.

Must place water beside them or they will never grow! Or just very slowly. :)

 

Carrots, what people are failing to see is the drop per carrot is 3-5 from what I know and that they sell for .50 a piece, wheat you can make about $1.55 while carrots you can make $2.50 per, carrots also grow much faster, that is why I say carrots.

200x200 by 2 floors. So Approximately 80,000 pieces of wheat

 

Jasoni12....a real "nerd" would filter in the wall around the outside, the rows of glowstone, the water, ect ect.

 

A real perfectionist would...oh nevermind :p

 

I'd personally go with wheat, I tend to make more money from it than the other two.
