I believe most of it is related to old lwc's being unlocked, and it usually only temporary while they are being done.

 

Well I can't be 100%, but it appears to happen a lot around the times they've been reported to have been being done.

But yeah as techy said lag seemed to peak during LWC removals, old locks I believe. One person was unlocking old locks on obsidian and we dropped to 12-13 TPS. Even our 15 minute average dropped to 18 or so.

 

Pretty much. I just assumed so since I feel there has been a bit more lag since its implementation. Might just be me, but I'm not complaining about. Looking forward to the games :p

 

On a more serious note, I have noticed that when this lag does occur, Global chat seems to be unaffected. In game movement and PMs are however affected by the lag. Also, in the player markets it takes a long time for me to load the chunks after I use one of the invisible warp things. I'm not sure if this is client side or server side, but I have to wait a few seconds until I'm able to access a row in the player market most of the time.

 

Also going off what ryan said, during laggy periods, not exactly massive lag spikes, I tend to rubber band a lot.

 

Occasionally we have the no command issue too. You can talk just fine, everything else freezes up, no commands work, can't switch chat channels, etc.

Then all the commands run once it fixes itself, often causing spam kicks and what not.

 

@andrewkm We've managed to get some recordings of lag during lwc's. Sent via forum PM.

 

Sometimes I get lag where I can only chat or use commands, but breaking blocks and moving is impossible. I attributed it to my currently pisspoor internet, but it appears I'm not the only person having these problems, so it might be a server thing.

 

For some reason I can't edit my own posts. odd.

Anyway, to add to this: This is probably related to the fact that chat happens async. So it's possible the main thread is locking up sometimes.

This happens to me too. I don't think it's the client side as much as the server side though.
