Invest it in a project or thing you would like to do. Ive spent lots of money on a little city Im building for fun I bought 5 towns for it as well as a lot of wool.
Do not put any money into lotto unless you are ready to lose it. Lotto is fine to play when you have extra money for fun. But, it is not a real investment opportunity. Lotto is a money sink pure and simple. Every time anyone on the server buys a lotto ticket $150 just evaporates into the nether never to be seen again. People may THINK that they have tricks to beat the great god Randu, but the laws of probability will always get you in the end. I lost about 80k in the lotto trying to get just a little more money. Then I hit a jackpot and ended up with more than I had put in. I have not played lotto since because I KNOW I will lose my money if I do. I bought some donation features from someone who sold enough donation features to get a few hundred k of money. He lost it all on lotto. Needless to say, he doesn't play any more because he spent a bunch of real money on fake money and then lost all of the money playing a game of chance. I guarantee that if you spend $30 real dollars to get $165k ECC and lose it on lotto, you will feel like you just wasted $30 real life on nothing. Now, if you spend the $165k on something worth while that make ECC more fun for you like a melon sword and you earn $165k more and lose THAT $165k on lotto, it won't feel like you lost $30 real life. I would add some things to your town like a town spawn portal (especially if you do not have tp) or a heal sign so that you can train acrobatics easily.
Which is why you have $30 in real life that you have to spend. If I had $30 burning a hole in my pocket and I HAD to spend it and wanted to spend it on ECC, I would seriously look at a donation feature. There are lots of useful ones.

Always invest your money into something that makes you more money. Donation features, tools/gear, or a shop are all good examples of things to invest in.
