I've been thinking of getting Aether access myself but am still sort of lost on what it looks like... And yes I have been reading. If anyone could post a few screenshots that would help immensely. Sent from my NX008HD8G using Tapatalk
I might be able to post some later tonight, but for now if you look up skylands biome that is what the terrain looks like. Sent from my LG-P769 using Tapatalk
Thanks @zwunder ... Do you happen to know how big the world is, and/or how much available space there is left?
The Aether mod was one of the most fun mods I've ever looked into (not sure how well they've been keeping it updated since I last used it though). I personally would rather build beautiful/large things in land that I actually own (my towns) as it feels like more of an accomplishment because of ownership in all the senses of the word. Also because I live in my towns, I will be able to enjoy the view from my castle (or whatever I were to build) whenever I log on, or work on things
After I finished paying off 100k for a loan, and buy teleport for 350k-400k, I think I may buy access to the aether. ^_^ It sounds fun. Let's see what I can build. Anyways though, there are some naturally-made islands right? Amd how do you claim land there? Is it the same as applying for/buying towns in the main worlds?
I actually am obsessed with Aether. I love exploring (even though I don't have fly, which makes it very dangerous ) the different islands and what people have made. Even though I lost my full Prot IV set of Diamond Armor, an Eff 5 Fort 3 Unb 3 Diamond Pickaxe, Eff 5 Fort 3 Unb 3 Diamond Axe, and Eff 5 Fort 3 Unb 3 Diamond Shovel. I still regret sneaking over the edge while placing half-slabs...
The aether gives you as much room as you need to build, but everyone with aether access has alter priveleges everywhere. I think this makes it harded to protect your builds because you have to go check on them at least once a week.
Not really, it is very rare for grief to occur in the aether. It takes a lot of effort to greif as anyone who spots greif can report it. Sent from my LG-P769 using Tapatalk
How does it take effort to greif? Do you need to make a TNT cannon or something? Just walking up with a pick and left clicking isn't hard.
you forgot the grieflog and the possibility to roleback the grief in a certain area, once you get griefed it gets undone back to it's original state as soon as a staff person with roleback abilities gets informed about it (i'm not sure what staff rank has what commands but i suggest asking admin or higher to undo)
