    I start getting weird images on my screen
    for example my pumpkin axe turned in this
    and another time a melon turned into a picture of a lit furnace
    and another time pumpkins seeds turned into a picture of a emerald ore? what is going on?

    If you're using windows, click the start button on the bottom left of your screen. Search "%appdata%" and press enter. ".minecraft" should be the first result. Click on that. There will be a folder at the very top named "bin." Just right click that and delete it. It will automatically create a new one when you play minecraft again, so basically it's like a force update.
