The question is simple, what does ECC mean to you, do you play ECC because you enjoy it or do you play because your friends do, etc etc.
I've been on ECC for well over a year now, when I joined I was looking for a server that I could stick around and play on, I loved ECC because of it's Minecraft experience, it was something that I had never experienced before. Although at the time I was pretty new to the community and I did not know many users I still new that the server had a truely unique community.
Nowadays as most of you are aware I do not play ECC as much as I used to, I really have no goals on ECC and when I do come on I just hang around spawn and talk to users. ECC for me now is alot more about the community and friends, I'll never quit ECC, NEVER, ECC has been to special for me, I have enjoyed every single moment of it, I've met new friends, fell in love, learned new things, and much more.
I cannot begin to explain how important ECC is to me, although I am not very active on the actual server I am always browsing the forums, on IRC or hanging out on TeamSpeak.
So, to answer the question "What does ECC mean to me". ECC to me is all about the community, a place to hang out and chat about common interests with your friends.

Not sure if this is a proper answer to "what does ECC mean to me?"
But...
I joined ECC during the baby/infant days. First map, all the troubles, and the troubles throughout the last two-three years. As well, I took part in the happenings and helped shaped ECC when it was still young. I feel as though I am like a "mother," or that weird and quirky babysitter from the past/"family friend." Feel, though; not necessarily "see myself as." Because of this, ECC "means to me" (derrhurr) like someone I am very attached to, and love to watch grow through infant stages into adulthood. I have a very dear attachment to ECC.
Leaving ECC permanently is impossible; not knowing about the happenings and changes pokes at my mind and bothers me at times. As well, there is history and some people on ECC that keep me around. I wouldn't want to ever leave the history or the people, despite my trying so that I could focus on real life.
tl;dr I have a very dear - and maybe creepy to some people - attachment to ECC. For my past on it that I shared with people, history, and some users. It is the server itself and the community that is important to me - I do not really have goals in-game when it comes to MC/ECC content. Socialization, watching growth, silly events, jackolanterns.-

Ive played on ECC for just over 4 months now and its all I really do on Minecraft anymore, I only come onto Minecraft to come on and see the ECC community. I used to pay ECC back when it first came out but it wasn't on my account I use today. I love ECC and I don't understand why people would even think about leaving such an awesome server!

You "heard" it can?
Minecraft, or any video games for that matter, does not cause obesity.
Having a medical disorder, never exercising, or eating food all day cause obesity.-
